Hazy amber-red colour with a thick off-white head. Aroma is herbal with a bright sweet orange/lemon esters. Very light cloviness, fruity apricot and a bit of light malty sweetness. Very bright citrus/fruity sweetness. Very soft bitterness but still showing lots of rich orangey character. Mango, pineapple and a lovely orange/papaya character. Really tasty IIPA.

On tap at City Beer, SF. Fiery orange brew with a small tapioca colored head. Aroma is tropical fruit; not the traditional nose for the style. Peach, mango, guava, and candied sugar. Hops are definitely present in the flavor but not as prominent as one would expect. Toffee, caramel, and honey all contribute to this beer’s underlying sweetness. Just a bit too much for me.

Draught at GABF 2008. Clear amber - offwhite head. Cookies, light malty sweetness, knækbrød,swedish flatbread, fruity, wet grass, high hoppy, lots of hops.

Draft @ Green Drago. Pours a dense, clear orange-amber color; off-white head with patchy, fine-bubbled lacing. Lots of crisp, earthy bitterness, candy sugar, and red fruits in the aroma; a touch hollow. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: chewy dried fruits, oranges, and earthy bitterness; solid, tongue-numbing hop presence with a nicely balancing, viscous, orange-dominated core; quite good and generous with minimal astringency. Lengthy finish: earthy / citrus bitterness, and dried fruits; dry bitterness and candy sugar.

Draft at The Green Dragon, on the last night of its independence before assimilation into Rogueness. God, this is an uncompromising and delicious beer. Pours hazy bright orange with a dense, creamy, light tan head. Enormous sparklingly fruity nose. Apricot, mango, plenty of candied grapefruit. Thick, creamy body. Not the least bit sticky or syrupy though. Creamy, enveloping, coating. Fruits give way to a ripping resinous bitterness at the end--churning maelstrom of alpha acids and hop oils scour the back of your tongue as it slides off. Takes you where it wants to take you, right down the line. Yum.
