COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Racer X is a bold ale that follows English brewing traditions, but with a California twist. A double IPA with bold hops and a balanced finish, Racer 5’s big brother. There are 5+ pounds of hops per barrel!

Very much like Ruination. Hefty hop. Smooth buttery feel. The hops are sweet and smooth.

Nice amber pour with creamy off white head. Aroma is nice. Flavor is intense hops. Very tasty. Taste just lingers and stays with you. Great lacing on the glass. This is a great beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2012 Soft hop nose. Very minimal even as it warms. Big WC hops on display here - a real kick in the balls. Sticky and fun this is very drinkable. The Alpha hops are much heavier than the artic panzer wolf I had earlier, but just as tasty in a different way. Great hop showcase - if only the nose were more prominent!

From flight@Ginger Man, NYC, 18/12/11. Ugly soupy murk rimmed with white. Strawberry jam aroma with lurking grapfruit and leafiness, some Jelly Baby. Well-honeyed bitterness, apricot, grapefruit finish with a husky tail. Slight heat and alcohol bitterness. A bit medicinal. Ordinary.

2011-11-19. Crisp dark amber orange body with a small beige head. 3+ Flavour is lovely, pleasant hoppy bitterness, mild citrus and resin, well balanced and flavours work very well together. 7+ Smooth medium to full bodied palate with soft carbonation. Aroma is a touch muted at first, modest resiny hops come out once you get into it. 7+ Dangerously drinkable, it is not super complex but rather lovely. I have been waiting to try this one for a while now. Draft at Blue Monk, Buffalo
