Bottle:   Fireweed honey in color, pale haze, moderate foamy cream colored head, nice lacing.   Citrusy nose, slight sweetness, a bit of hop and pith.   Smells fairly fresh and bright.   Big ole bucket of citrus, hops, and candied peel.   Smooth, hoppy, but not biting.   Good balance of sweetness to this one.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Clean finish.   Very solid example for the style.

On tap. Hazy amber with a thin white top. Scent of caramel and pine. Taste follows scent.

Elwood (2490) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - JAN 6, 2013
Serving: 22 oz. bottle from Total Wine Sterling. It pours a nice amber color with a soft, off white head. The nose is all pine, resin, and florals. The flavor follows suit with the resin being overly dominant. Slight orange notes emerge as it warms. Medium to full body with a lasting finish. Not as dynamic as I was hoping for.

Good one. Piney and floral aroma. Amber ginger ale color with little head as it was on tap. Nice carbonation but smooth. There is a hop punch throughout the whole thing. Floral and distinct, some citrus but not the predominant flavor. Nice malt backbone to balance this one out. Great representation of the style and distinct enough to remember.

Great hoppy resin scents and a bit of citrus and malt. Taste is similar with a great bitter and perfect body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Coles pours golden hue with white foam head. Nose and taste of pine and resin. Aroma is a bit muddled. Solid body and a decent choice on this chilly buffalo night.

22oz bottles pours a clear deep orange with some thin white head. Nose is mostly grapefruit, pine, soap, pretty much it. Flavor is big on the grapefruit, orange, pine, soap, candy. Full, bitter finish. Fairly run of the mill DIPA if you ask me.

Very strong grapefruit peel nose, with pine needle accents and minor caramel notes, nice lacing. Clear orange, medium yellow head. Grapefruit peel, honeycomb, and caramel flavor. Finishes surprisingly bready. Medium body, low viscosity. Nicely balanced with great transitions. Wonderful intensity without being boozy.
