4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A- Pours a bronze hue with a large two finger which fades into tons of lacing, slightly hard to see through.
S- Super hoppy and sweet with a mixture of predominant pine flavor and underlying grapefruit notes...absolutely exquisite.
T- Taste is very reminiscent of Pliny the Elder but possibly better balanced. Lots of malt which dulls the hop bitterness but there is a good amount of hoppiness in flavor.
M- Thick with a lot of carbonation.
D- This is an absolutely amazing DIPA and a pleasure to drink, perhaps a bit thick for more than one but it’s amazing.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Firewaters. Pours a deep clear amber with an average size foamy head. Aroma of citrus hops, amber malts, grain, rye and alcohol. Flavor of citrus, grapefruit rind, bread and maltiness. Palate is super dry. Sorry but this couldn’t even hold a candle to the Unearthly or 90 minute that I drank right after this.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap. Poured a deeper and cloudy amber color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of pine needles, citrus, and just all around nice and hoppy. Tastes of pine, citrus, with some caramel. Definitely more hoppy than malty! Very nice hop bomb.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Capones. Great to see this in PA. Hazed peachy brown with a trace of head. Nose is orange and nectarine with a touch of toffee. Medium light, resiny, with mild carb tingle. Taste is bready caramel, orange pith, apple and grapefruit juice. Restrained hops, earthy and a little muddled. Good.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft. Cloudy Orange brown body with nice head, close to being a five. Aroma is a nice blend of citrus hops and malt. Flavor is a huge hop bomb, but in a good way. Noticable citrus and a slightly rough malty body made it pretty smooth. Bar labeled it at 10%.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Capones. Pours a hazy orange amber with a medium cream/bubbly off white head that left lots of lacing. Aroma of orange peel, loads of other hoppy/citrus notes, great toast/caramel malt nose with some floral and piney notes. Flavor of pine, grapefruit, orange, lots of hop bitterness and flavor. Some caramel/toasty malt is there with some sweetness to help balance. But this is mostly a tasty hop bomb...

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Draft at the brewpub. Hallelujah. Dark red, rusty and ruddy. Firm but thin head of white foam. Big rosy aroma. Syrupy. Almost mapley? This is a monster, full of chewy, rich malt, thick like there’s pine branches floating in it. Almost choclatey, it so robust!? Classic!! (#3399, 4/10/2008)

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Mad Mex Robinson. Nice IIPA but a little too sweet for my tastes. Aroma was decent...slightly astringent with heavy caramel malt notes but not any hops. Pour was a stagnant orange with little movement and only a thin off white film for a head. Taste was very sweet and malty. Caramel and pine combination in the front and a strong astringent bubbly bite in the aftertaste. Still... not much hops to speak of so this is not my kind of IIPA, but is good for what it is.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap @ Hopdevil Grill. Amber color with a piney citrus aroma that awakens the senses. Flavor is a wonderful piney-citrus-sticky-sweet hop mix that really comes to the table. Not much malt here, but its in no way unbalanced for a DIPA. Impeccable mouthfeel - best new beer in the style for me in some time. Wonderfully sweet - this one went way too fast. Brilliant example of the style in my book.
