3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ Bear Republic in Healdsburg.
This is my first experience with this hop varietal, and I must say that it’s pretty unique. Apparently it’s a french hop varietal, but it has this very distinct medicinal quality. Lightly herbal, nice finish. I’m actually sort of a fan of this one (it’s the 1st of the specialty sampler that I’ve finished here).

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Orange/gold with a slight haze, two-finger white head and nice lace. Herbal/floral hop aromas above a mild caramel malt base. Flavor is mostly floral hop bitterness highlights over a very mildly sweet malt base. Medium body, lively carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy orange colour with a tight white head. The aroma is pretty nice - a sort of orange and herbal character along with a little bit of spice. Some nice fruit and an assertive bitterness. A bit of an unusual sort of floral character. Decent, but not great.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
At THE LOCAL beer Bar in Eureka, CA on draft. It came in the glass a golden amber with a creamy off-white head with good lacing rings. The nose is pine hops, with some lemon and floral notes. Medium in body with a slick and clean mouthfeel. The flavor is bitter, but a really nice version of bitterness. There is a lot of citrus in here. The bitterness continues over into the finish. I could drink this all day. I don’t know much about the Aramis hop, but it stands up quite well on its own.
