[Draft @ CAH] Amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, pine, tangerine, citrus fruits, raw pellets, herb, and some toffee. Taste of citrus fruits, resiny pine, light toffee malts, and a bitter, grapefruit finish.

Cask at Toad in the Hole. Slightly hazy deep yellow with fine, tenacious lace. Warm, tropical, floral nose. Flavor is quite bright and fruity, evoking tangerine and pineapple, but also ludicrously bitter, to the point of tasting nearly hydrocarbonesue. Bitter sticks to the finish.

Tasted on tap at the 8th Annual Triple Rock Firkin Fest on 4/9/2011. This IPA pours a medium orange gold color from the firkin. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, touch of citrusy hops. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are floral and citrusy. Mild carbonation. Decent balance. A touch of sweetness at the finish, yet there is still some lingering hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter.

Sampled it on tap at Capone’s during the Black Friday event. Appearance: Pours a light amber with an oily sheen and 1 finger off white crown. Some retention and a decent amount of lace. Smell: Loads of floral hops and a slightly toffe like malt. Taste: Wow this imperial red is all hop and not much malt. Different from the other imperial reds I’ve had (an enjoyed). A welcome addition to the style. A "West Coast" Imperial Red for lack of a better term. Mouthfeel: Medium bodied and well carbonated. Drinkability: Sessionable to say the least. On draught at Cole’s. Hazy light amber pour with an average creamy white head. "Smells like hopsss" - slightly sweet, a hint of black tea with perceptible alcohol, but mostly fairly pungent, slightly acidic hoppy bitterness - man, I love Amarillo. Taste? So, so good - juicy, fresh, herbal/floral/resin/citrus - pungent and tangy, really dry, with decidedly backgrounded florally sweet malt - it has alcohol presence enough you have to respect it, but it’s mostly that west coast bitterness I’ve come to love - well done. Average to beefy body, a real joy on the palate - solid carbonation, a nice zing to it (with the acidity I would love to try this cask-conditioned) - a lovely lingering dry floral/resin bitterness to it. A real drinkin’ IPA - love this beer; need growlers of it!!

Tap at Horse Brass. Poured a nice orange color with a thick white head and nice lacing. Aroma was grapefruit, caramel, pine and graham cracker crust. Flavor was mostly citrus fruits with grapefruit and apricot playing the biggest roles along with some pine notes and a decent caramel backdrop. Tasty stuff, good old Bear Republic.
