COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rebellion was created by Bear Republic’s brewers as a single hop pale ale to showcase the characteristics of new hop varietals and old favorites. Always brewed with the same American and English malts, the soft malt character allows the unique flavor and aroma of the hop to shine.

Hazed golden orange pour with a white head. Very floral hop aroma with a slight spiciness. Nice bready malt, some hints of pine, and a nice orange peel note. The flavor is lightly bitter with a strong orange peel and floral hop profile. Slight pine note, some sweet bread, and a dry finish.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Not really sure what to make of this hop. Slightly floral/spicey aroma. Spice and woodsy flavor with malt backing and a bit of citrus. Medium bodied. Floral/spice/woodsiness lingers with some malt.

Ordered a Goose Island IPA but this had just replaced it, and I an glad it did. Light with an assertive floral bitterness. Touch if citrus with a potpourri aroma. Really well done. Nice balance to it. Have to research this Newport hop.

On tap at their Tap Room. A creamy head and a lace sheet. Funky aroma and taste, a little astringent. High alpha bittering hop apparently developed 10 years ago in Oregon.
