Rebellion was created by Bear Republicís brewers as a single hop pale ale to showcase the characteristics of new hop varietals and old favorites. Always brewed with the same American and English malts, the soft malt character allows the unique flavor and aroma of the hop to shine.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Interesting Czech hop variety of Rebellion. Poured on draft @ Bear Republic brewpub.
Nice head retention, unique aroma. Lingering bitterness. Overall decently tasty, but Iím not sure I would finish a pint of this. Just not that appealing to my palate.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Orange-gold pour with a tight white head. The aroma is a little bit spicy and fruity. Nice bright aroma with a little bit of soft fruit and pepper. Some nice fruity component. Pretty good stuff.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This single hop draft offering came from the Local Beer Bar in Eureka, CA. It came in the glass a hazy golden color with a moderate white head and light lacing. The nose is mild for an IPA. The Czech hops do not produce much of aroma, and what there is is kind of reminiscent of flowers. Medium in body. The flavor is low in bitterness and not anything like the west cost hops we are so used to these days. Finish is pretty mild. This would be a good introductory beer to someone not used to IPA bitterness. While a hop head like me wants a more aggressive flavor and bitterness profile this was both educational and fine drinking.
