A really nice malty/hoppy beer, with a big American hop nose and bitterness, well balanced by a sweet, caramel-y/roasty malt body. An excellent strong amber ale.

Big beautiful frothy head that leaves very nice lacing. Deep clear ruby color. Malty hoppy aroma, citrus and sweetness. Man this beer smells good. Flavor is awesome, big malty chewiness balanced by a very nice hop bitterness. Body is medium full and very chewy. What a beer. This beer deserves better reviews then it gets!

22 oz bomber. This may be the most under-rated brew i have ever sampled. This brew was fantastic! "A bastardized Scottch ale" is correct! The appearance on this thing was garrnet red, with lots of rocky off-white head. Aroma was awesome! big, malty, sweet, and hops-i loved this aroma! Flavor was very well balanced between nice carmal/roasted malts and a nice dose of american hops. I so need more of this stuff!! this is one hell of a brew!

Ruby red, tan head. raw hops and caramel aroma. I see here in my notes that I described it as "Mmmmmmmmmmmm drinky". Look, it had been a long tasting session and I was pretty worn out by Tennessee's 5 overtime win over Alabama, so maybe my tasting notes are a little, you know, unclear. At any rate, there was apparently a veggie and "raw grass" (as opposed to cooked grass?) flavor, too. dry, and hoppy to the finish, which is also described here as "butu".

Lofty, rocky and lasting light-tan head above a murky brown. Wonderful nose, loaded with a bouquet of flowery hops. Moderately carbonated with a "second," underlying layer of texture that was incredibly smooth and creamy on the tongue. Very aromatic and complex, with notes of campfire, citrus (orange, grapefruit). Malts were deep, thick, satiating, smoky, burnt and rich. Tingly hops in the finish ... complemented by a healthy dose of bitterness. Chewy, exuding flavors ... huge malts and big hops in this beer. Good stuff.

Nice dark ruby color with small white head. Good lacing. Nice aroma...mainly hops on the nose with a light malt presence. The taste is roasted malt up front with hop bitterness after the swallow. A very interesting beer.

Very dark amber colour with a light brown head. Strong aroma of hops, malt and a subtle tropical fruit aroma. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong roasty/smoky malt characteristic with noticeable hoppiness. Aftertaste bittered from both the hops and the roasted malt. Overall, a crazy mix between a scottish and an APA, but works out fairly well. I must thank Jah_noth (Dan) for the local trade and the generous treat! I sampled this 65 cL bomber on 17-October-2003.

A very dark reddish brown appearance. Thick foamy tan head. Very strong aroma of malts and hops. The flavor is quite intense. One sip I the malts shout to me, the next sip the hops make themselves known. Nice "roasty" aftertaste. Excellent!

Pours a dark red, good head and nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is malt heavy with some detectable hop presence. Taste is malty, very dry hoppy finish. Great mouthfeel, a little bit to thin perhaps. Interesting ale.

Very unique ale. Red Rocket pours a very dark reddish brown with big off white head that is retained. Flavor is extremely unique. There is a strong hop presence with an equally strong roasted/smokey malt flavor. Tasty.
