4.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hoppy and kinda bitter aroma. Dark amber color with white head. It’s floral hop at first taste then takes a leathery direction afterwards. Pretty bomb. Bear Republic rarely lets me down. For some reason this reminds me of something Port Brewing would put out. I don’t know if they have similar styles or ingredient choices but that.s what my tongue is telling me.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours amber. Aroma is mild but still present; mild hops with some citrus. Flavor is good, though not strong; slight caramel sweetness with citrusy hops. Balanced, smooth, some malty body that moves into a hop flavor. (10/18/12 Total Wine IPA beer tasting class.)

This brewery just don’t stop making great beer. If you wan’t a good red with over the top flavors, then you’ve found the beer for you. The commercial description pretty much nails it.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This is a really good beer, missed the brewery in Healdsburg, but caught the brew in Eureka. Wonderful hoppy, flavorful beer that was just right. I could live on this beer, and everything the Bear Republic Brewery makes. Except for the wheat.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A very deep ruby body with a negligible dark tan head, very fruity (think plums) nose, and a strong hoppy flavor, but a complex finish

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a ruby/brown color. The taste is full flavored, malty and maybe a little bread or toast. Some sweetness that goes with the malt and the finish has a nice amount of refreshing hops. Really good when you want a tasty beer, but not overpowering.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Earthy caramel aroma, I also pick up some hops. Clear dark brown thick fluffy head.
Tangy caramel flavor with a good floral hops, and I also pick up some smoke in the finish. Clean and refreshing. Palate is full and smooth.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Bine & Vine, San Diego. No BB date. Pours copper with thin latte head that disappear quick. Medium to big aroma of pine, fresh peeled potatoe, lemons, grassy, haylike hops, slightly flowery and a hint of caramel and read fruits, like caramel apples, pear, plum and dried apricots.
Medium to dry body, lightly roasted malt with some toffee. Pine and grapefruits apparent, and finally some toast and roast as well as burnt raisins. Very nicely balanced and complex.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured a reddish amber color, and had a hoppy, semi sweet aroma. Flavor was bitter and slightly sweet as well, but is a great beer!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber. Pours a deep dark red with frothy tan head. Nice caramel nose with hops underneath. Flavor is caramel with raisins and bitter hops over a nice toasted malt backbone. Ends with a nice bitterness which balances the malt sweetness. Medium palate, very drinkable but yet aggresive. Very good.
