Commercial Description:
The brew of choice for mountain bikers, and adventurous types worldwide. (Are you excited now!) This fiery red ale is not for the weak at heart. It originally started out as a Scottish red ale but has taken on flavors of its own. This is a very complex recipe using five different grains to achieve it's unique flavor. The caramel malt used is a mixture of Belgian Caravienne and Hugh Bairds Crystal malts. Red Rocket is a full bodied, hoppy brew which finishes on the pallet with caramel malts. Centennial and Cascade hops are used for bittering and aroma.2004 L.A. Bottle, Thanks to KegBear for another fabulous housewarming beer The aroma is incredibly malty and yet there is some hop that is very evident. That taste is great malt with a lot of hops crashing through later. There is also some fruit coming through but not much. It finishes smooth and leaves the aftertaste of a caramel apple on the back of the throat.Buy again

Beautiful aroma, lots of beautiful caramel aroma, with very fine resiny and citrussy hops. flavor is the same accept I like the aroma better, I liked the interplay of citrus and caramel, but didn’t love it. poured deep amber in color with an off white head that stayed throughout the whole drink. medium bodied. Really good.

And strong it is! Another winner from Bear Republic. Pours a dark dark reddish-opaque-copper colour with a nice billowing fluffy almond coloured head. Lacing is awesome- evidence! A reminder something grand was once in that glass. Aroma is genuine- cascade hops, pomegranate and pine. Taste is equally pleasent with dirrrrty, gritty, earthy, hoptastic flava- redruM, blindfolded majestic wonderchildren dancing carelessly throughout my early morning water sprinkler. Red rocket monster sprocket. woowee.

On tap at the Flying Saucer, Columbia. Pours a dark, murky reddish brown with a small head. After a sniff, the first thing that stokes my interest is crystal clear PNW hops. Remarkable clarity is achieved in the way of grapefruit and pine, though plenty of sweeter, bready scents such as biscuits and toffee are also present. The hops in the flavor are again delightful, but are equally balanced with hearty biscuits, caramel, maybe pumpernickel. Very nice!

Aroma - Roasted grain and nuts, cark caramel, grapefruit, spruce

Appearance - Clear, deep ruby under a billowing light brown head that settles slowly, leaving bands of thick reticulated lace

Flavor - Solid malt sweetness in the entry, with a grapefruit zest bitterness close behind, the bitterness lingers, turning peppery several seconds after the swallow. Lots of flavor, and the hops really bite.

Palate - Mediu to full body, medium carbonation, palate coating richness combines with a light astringency that results in a very satisfying mouthfeel.

Overall - Very impressive in every way. Satisfying, layers of flavors, a very well crafted beet in every way.

From a 12ozer. Aroma full of hippy hops and fruit. Not what I was expecting from this crimson ber. Smells amazing. Mmmm...taste is equally impressive. Fruity citrus herbage...mmmm....much better than I expected, and I had high expectations. God bless America!
