Amber in color, slight haze with a thick head. Lots of rye aroma and flavor. Banana and clove notes this is a very interestingly good beer.

On tap at Rattle’n’Hum. Lightly sour-sweet - I thought there might be some buckwheat in it, but this seems to be an unfiltered rye ale. Not strong, but tasty enough, and has a fresh aroma.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hanging with JoeT at the brewery on Aug 9, 2011 for my birthday. I was more focused on the company than the notes, but these’ll do until I get back there this summer and do it right. Sharp pilsen style. Not much there. Light with clean finish. Just OK.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAY 2, 2012 From a draft pour at the Bear Republic brewpub in Healdsburg, CA. Poured slightly cloudy amber with an off-white head and moderate lacing . Slightly hazy amber pour. The nose is munch like a hefeweizen with banana and clove and some rye Medium body and a somewhat watery mouthfeel. The flavor is a mixture of rye and banana but overall a bit odd tasting. OK as a session beer, but nothing like the Double Rocket another Rye beer from Bear Republic.
Update. At the Local Beer Bar in Eureka, CA. Seems somewhat improved from lat year.

Enjoyed on tap at Rattle ’N’ Hum. Medium yellow colour. Sharp apple is how the taste comes off. Average mouthfeel, not very drinkable
