COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Normal Crazy Ivan is an American IPA fermented with a Trappist ale yeast. Team Bear then doubled down and let this version referment for over 18 months with only wild yeast and bacteria native to the Alexander Valley. In our weirdo Left Coast talk, it is even "more crazier".

5th Annual Bistro BA Festival. Very earthy. Dry with a woody bitterness. Sour/vinegar aroma - fairly acetic. Not much hops left besides a pleasant lemony quality. Good mild caramel. Dark amber, transparent, with a small white head.

On tap at the Bistro BA festival. Pours slightly ruddy copper/beige head. Light sour aroma. Med body. Nice sour flavor - very like grapefruit sour. Excellent.

On tap at the Bistro BA festival. Pours reddish brown with a thin beige head and a sour fruit aroma. The flavor is also sour fruit, with a yeasty feel and an oaky finish.

On tap at the Bistro Barrel Aged Fest. Pours from the tap a hazy amber color with a small off-white head. The aroma is Belgian, a little hoppy, and a little tart, with earthy notes, red wine, and citrusy hops. The flavor is pretty nice, with a caramel malt base, oak, Belgian yeast and some wild stuff going on (brett, maybe some lacto) as well as some earthy, leafy faded hops. Slightly tannic on the mouthfeel with a dry mouthfeel and soft carbonation. A good beer overall, but not quite a standout.

(on draught at Churchill’s) Pours hazy copper with off white head. Aroma of bourbon? some funkyness. Taste is sweet and peppery. Is there bourbon in here? Medium bodied with oily texture. Smooth finish. This was a different beer and I still can’t quite put my arms around what it is (IPA base) and what it tastes like.

On tap. Pours with a hazed amber-golden body with a thin and thick off-white head. Head lasts, nearly appears to be a nitro head. Aroma is fruity, floral, berries, lacto and wet leaves. Flavors are fruity, tart, sour, and still pretty bitter. Lots of florals, honey, and wood. Creamy bubbles, very smooth. Nice spontaneous beer.

Draft. Verly slightly hazy golden pour, white head. Lightly sour, fruit, light funk and citrus, and some bready malt. Pretty light for a sour, but still good.

Pours a medium pale golden color, nose is spicy and has saison hints, not very sour, very dry, mildly funky.

Tap at RnH. Maroon pour. Aroma is red wine vinegar and pineapple. Tastes like a red wine vinegar and kale smoothie. Starts out tart but ends super hoppy. This is damn weird.
