"American wild red ale" on tap at the brewpub in Healdsburg. Deep amber with a decent head but minimal lacing. Aroma. Floral and tart sour ale. F Moderately complex and tart; not significantly bitter. Very fruity with ripe soft fruits. Medium body. Low but adequate carbonation. hazy copper, large bubbled puffy white ring. Acetic nose is berry, plum, and metal, stinging with light sugar and no balsamic. Similar front palate, stinging jowls with rhubarb and strawberry, light burning in the sticky, juicy finish. Thin, slick carbonation, oppressive body highlights simple profile and oppressive acids.

Glass at Jons after some gueze from bullfrog. Pours red with light head and not much lace. Aromas are cranberry, raspberry, yeast, wood, and funk. Flavor is cherry, and the same stuff as aroma. Not as funky as regular but nice cherry skins and American barn. For light vinegar and nail polish as it warmed.
