3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at RnH West. Nice deep red-mohagany color with small head. Found the nose to be malty and oaky with black cherry. Palate overflowing with tartness, cherry and strawberry, lighter red fruits and there is a dry red-wine-like quality to the mouthfeel. Really high red wine vinegar acidity but it vaporizes pretty quickly.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft to taster at Shakespeare’s Pub. Looks solid; a moderately cloudy brownish orange with eggshell head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells tart and mildly acidic with notes of fruit alongside a semi-sweet malt backbone. A bit of oak and dark vinegar as well. Tastes like it smells with a medium-bodied mouthfeel. Solid.

Draft at As Is NYC with Linh. Pours a deep red wine body with no head. Lots of acidic cherries on the nose upfront. Mouthfeel is super, mouth-puckering tart with cherries, red wine and lots of acid. Absolutely puckering, but not too dynamic.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at the brewpub, served in a flight. Pours a clear reddish gold with no head. Notes of lemon, tart berries, grape skins, vinegar, and wood. Light-bodied, with low carbonation and a very tart mouthfeel. Leaves a bit to be desired, but it’s the best of the three Tartares on offer that day.

Exactly what they say. Smells like Apple cidar vinegar. Has serious sour cheek puckering quality. Nice effervescent on the tongue. Taste has a little tart cherry and granny Apple. Tap
