Tap at the Linkery, SD. It pours cloudy straw yellow, with pretty much no head. The nose is grapefruit, chamomile, pear and white grape. The taste is initially very tart, the smoothes out a bit - lemon, grapefruit, sour pear, white grape, lactic acid and floral aspects. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Quite acidic indeed! Refreshing and thirst quenching. A great Berliner Weisse.

4.1 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Nik925 (639) - California, USA - FEB 18, 2012
Bear - breaking out the rare styles. A very nice brew. Super crisp like a dry cider, clean and dry like champagne, but with a base of clean tasty malt. The multiple fermentations taste very controlled and clean..."spontaneously" = BS. Doesn’t leave a nice look though, muddy and a bit too yellow...but when it tastes this good, it doesn’t matter. Very nice on the palate to top it all off. A great way to wrap up beer week.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 marcus (4050) - Sacramento, California, USA - FEB 13, 2012
On tap at Triple Rock Sour Beerfest. Pours cloudy golden with a thick off-white head and an acidic aroma. There is a very sour fruit flavor that leaves a bite on the palate. Lots of Chardonnay presence.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 bvc (1004) - Kenmore, Washington, USA - FEB 12, 2012
Lightly hazed straw yellow with a slightly off white head that sounds like and dissipates as quickly as alka seltzer. White vinous, tart, lemon, bright tart pear, some floral components, light wheat and plenty of mineral undertones. More carbonation in the mouth feel that appearance would suggest, add some prickly feel. Tart vinous lemon hits up front, lactic, wheat and hints of tired neutral oak in the mid palate, with plenty of lingering acidic throughout the finish. Solid stuff.

Cloudy pale golden with a small head. Aroma is grapes and strawberry jam. Flavor is ridiculously sour. Too sour for me to drink a full glass. But it was well worth the taste. Crisp finish. OMG that is sour.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 corby112 (1904) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 27, 2012
Draft at Toronado San Diego.
Pours a cloudy, dark golden yellow color with a half fnger off white head that quickly fades into a lasting ring. Spotty lacing left behind.
Funky, slightly earthy aroma with some citrus acidity, light fruit and bready yeast.
Tart, puckering mouthfeel with a decent amount of sour acidity that lingers over the sweet citrus and bready yeast into a lingering acetic, vinegary finish. Kind of like a sour kvass with lots of bread, citrus acidity and funk.
