From tap at the brewpub as Wine Country Wheat. Pours slight hazy yellow with a small white head. Citrus fruity hops and slight wheaty aroma. Light bitter and fruity flavoured. Light mouthfeel and on the crisp light side. Citrusy and slight wheaty finish. Smooth and easy.

Draft @ brewpub during RBSG09. Pours a hazy golden color with a larger fluffy white head. The aroma was fairly typical for the style; banana, cloves, yeast, grassy, with some citrus. Taste also pretty standard; banana, cloves, citrus, yeast, grassy, pale malt. Decent, creamy, would make a decent summer drinker.

Draught at the brewpub during RBSG09. Hazy yellow with a big head. Perfume y, fruity, and spicy aroma. The flavor is pretty spot-on, with banana and clove, and the body has a nice creamy feel. Pretty much what you would expect in a German-style hef, but done well.

RBSG09 on tap at the brewpub. Pours milky gold with a fluffy white head. Aromas of bananas and cloves with a citric tinge. Flavors of orange, lemon, banana, clove, and yeast. Creamy mouthfeel and easy to drink. Pretty typical but not bad for an American hefe.

Cloudy orange light brown with a small off-white head, fading to a thick ring. Banana and vanilla, light lemon in the nose--it could be the fact that the beer was served with a lemon, though--jerkfaces. Flavor is much the same (banana dominating) with a hint of rancid wheat--it doesn’t necessarily taste as bad as it sounds. Minimal bitterness in the finish. Moderate prickly carbonation with a light to medium body. OK.

Tap at Rattle-N-Hum. Clear orange-yellow beer (yeast appears to have settled out). Lovely aroma of orange and nice spicy wheat. A soft clovey character over a nice rich biscuity viennaish malt. The wheaty aroma really comes out and combines nicely with the other crackery malts. Not a lot of banana in this, but there is a lot of fruity peach and citrus. Soft wheaty mouthfeel... this is a surprisingly tasty hefeweizen. Distinctly different from many brewpub varieties.
