Tap at Rattle-N-Hum. Clear orange-yellow beer (yeast appears to have settled out). Lovely aroma of orange and nice spicy wheat. A soft clovey character over a nice rich biscuity viennaish malt. The wheaty aroma really comes out and combines nicely with the other crackery malts. Not a lot of banana in this, but there is a lot of fruity peach and citrus. Soft wheaty mouthfeel... this is a surprisingly tasty hefeweizen. Distinctly different from many brewpub varieties.

Lots of banana and cloves, some lemon and citrus. I was throghouly pleased witht the appearance, but a little disappointed otherwise, still I’d order a pint any day.

~Pours a light yellow with small lasting white head. ~Wheaty yeast scent. Lemon that bartender put in overpowers most of scent. ~Wheaty flavor with a slight bitter hoppiness. ~Light creamy feel with slight bitter finish. ~ A nice wheat beer. Refreshing.

hazy and golden with solid head, but slightly low carbonation for a hefeweizen. flavor of sweet wheat with some esters, not ann overpowering taste. balanced, but no major hop component. not a great hefeweizen and by far the weakest Bear Republic beer I have had

Lots of banana, clove and lemon notes. Nice mouthfeel with high carbonation. Very lemony with lots of clove on the palate. Clean and crisp finish.

tap at pizzera paradiso in DC. lightly cloudy dark yellow with a sudsy white head. looks more filtered than expected. big banana and clove and lightly estery. nothing really speical nose wise. sweet banana and light grains on the flavors. pretty straight forward and somewhat boring. definatley decent for session drinking but nothing else. long banan and grainy finish. a decent attempt at this style and cool to try one of the non-bottled bear republic beers.

This is a decent brew, but dissappoints in the end. Starts with a big hefe nose - banana and clove. Nice. Looks a little dark, but with a nice amber hue. Low head - not the fluffy hw you’d want. spicy hoppy end that destroys the wheat malt tastes. Medium thick body.

Draught at the brewpub. Slightly hazy yellow color with bubbly white head that laced the glass. Smells as expected; bananas and a touch of clove accented by yeasty bread dough. Subdued lemony flavor takes a back seat to bananas and buttery wheat.

On tap at the brewpub. Medium gold slighty cloudy body with a white head. Whaet aroma with a grassy, citrusy taste.
