COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Golden Paw Beard and Brau This beer has subtle hops on both the nose and palate, which result give it’s grassy and straw characters. An interesting fact is this pale ale is actually fermented with lager yeast. This helps to give it, it’s crisp, dry and refreshing finish. alc %: 4.7 Glassware: Tulip/Chalice Serving Temperature: 6-9C

Pours golden with a white head and a sweet lemon, lime aroma. Follows through to the flavour although this bottle seems over carbonated.

Bottle 330ml. Interesting beer. Aromas of caramel, honey, and straw. Taste is sweet, with some acidity, and good length. Palate is oily, with a thin-to-medium body. Amber, with a frothy head.

From a 330ml bottle on 22/12/2010. The label indicates this won a silver medal at the 2010 Australian International Beer Awards. Pours a cloudy caramel colour, with some yeast sediment floating about. Smells grassy, spicy and yeasty. The flavour is the same, with the addition of some fruitiness. Finishes with a good, slightly tart and quite strong bitter kick. Quite an interesting and unusual drop, and definitely worth a try.

UPDATED: OCT 29, 2010 330ml bottle. Gusher. Hazy gold with a ridiculous white head. Smells faintly musty with apples, tropical fruits, straw, grass and a little lemon. Quite full mouthfeel for its weight. Taste is heavily fruity and with almost cleansing bitterness. Slightly spicy at the finish, but falls short of crisp. I don’t really get this style, but I liked this as much as any I’ve had in it so far. [2.8]

Carbonation seems much more sensible, maybe even on the low side - a well-retained 1/2 cm. Otherwise as above. A decent session beer.

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2010 had in the bottle, and am hoping that the particular one i had was out of date, as it was quite terrible, and not what i had been told about it.

Golden amber colour with fluffy white head. Aroma is slightly grassy with hints of pineapple too. Fruity hops and some clean light malt character. Moderate carbonation, clean finish with good bitterness. My first time to try this beer and I was impressed, a good beer and I would have no problem drinking it again.

Golden pour with a ridiculously large head. Nose shows tropical fruits in abundance: mango, lychees, paw-paw and peaches. Also present is loads of caramel and brown sugar. Very sweet. Flavours include more caramel along with some toasty malt, peaches and mango. A very mild bitterness follows in the finish. Carbonation is stupidly high, and seems to fill your whole mouth. Other than that this is pretty good.

330ml bottle. Pours with a massive volcanic beige head, super lively and golden amber in colour. Grassy herbal hop aromas waft up through the thick head. Crisp dry finish and nice lasting aftertaste.

Didn’t start well; a gusher of epic proportions pouring the bigest fluffy white head known to man. Did settle after a while but patience is required. Murky dull orange in colour. Nose shows mild tropical fruits but not much else. I found the palate quite interesting; bitter stone fruits with quite a bit of power (almost liquered in terms of depth) and some spice to finish. Unique flavours and not what I was expecting. Not enough experienc at my end to know if this is true to style?
