COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
A light, ruby coloured ale with excellent hop and malt aromas, and a smooth, dry, malty flavour. A real ale that landlords tell us is popular with younger drinkers.

Cask via hand pump on 12th June 09 at the Pembury Tavern, London. Reddish brown bitter with creamy off-white head. Sharply bitter kick and burst of hoppiness to the nose(notes of herb/grass/pepper). Slight notes of spice and fruit - noticed some citricity on the tongue. Flavour is intense but short lasting.

Cask@The New Wheatsheaf, London. Bautiful ruby red colour, small beige creamy head that leaves nice lace. Aroma is fruits, wood, nuts, some hops and mild non-sweet-nectary notes. Flavour is much the same, with a pleasant bittery tone to it. Also some slight notes of raisins. Rather bittery dry finish.

Aroma gives blueberrries and blackcurrents, particularly fruity. Taste is juicey berries, fruity as, balanced with good hop character, nice little suprise.

Cask (handpump) at the Museum Tavern, Bloomsbury, June 2009. Darkish brown colour with a red tinge. Lots of berry fruit and some nutty elements. Whilst I expected this to be malt dominated there was also enough hoppy bitterness to provide a solid balance. A lot more interest than the norm for a 4.0% UK bitter.

Cask conditioned - handpump - JDW Northampton. A mahogony coloured beer with an off-white head. The aroma is fruity and malty with brown fruit prevalent. The taste is nice and malty abd has that fruitiness also. Seems a bit thin, but that could be the fact that is was too cold. Tasty enough though.

Cask at the Wetherspoons on Victoria Station. Copper coloured with a tight beige head; red fruit aroma; smooth and soft with a rich fruity toffee flavour with lots of depth from deeply roasted malts; the finish is dry with some spicy hops. Very drinkable.
