COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This powerful, yet easy-drinking, golden brew is developed with a combination of old and new world hops, resulting in a beer with fragrant hop aromas, a smooth, balanced, malty character and a lingering hop bitterness in the finish. Named after Wojtek, pronounced

Sampled @ GBBF day 3. Hazy yellow color, small to average sized white head. Smells like fruit tea to me. Tastes like that as well, forest fruit tea and (Dutch) ranja. If this is due to the hops used this is the first time I’ve tried these hops. Quite extraordinary. Not bad though, just weird that I am reminded of tea every time I take a sip of my beer.

Cask - Mango and soap with sweet fruit. Cloudy gold with a thin white head. Malty, light sour and bitter finish. So much potential, just doesn’t deliver on the taste.

Bottle shared with Button, under a tree at Ripon races, 18th May. Clear, yellow gold. Bubbly white head. Bready, yeasty, with a hint of green apple. Taste is bready dry. Clean, zesty palate. Finishes dry, with a light bitterness.

Bottle (in Sept 2012) - Golden in colour. Clear (unlike cask). Hoppy; leafy herbal and resinous hops. Fruity; apple, lemon. Malty; biscuity malts. Leafy fruity hops and sweet malts; quite dry throughout. Lingering hop bitterness in the finish. Overall, rather lagerish. OK. Drinkable, but preferred it on cask.

Aroma is an interesting mix of light citrus notes, slight pine and a big bunch of herbal and spicy notes, a mix of American and pumped up classic pils elements. Flavour adds some caramel and bready notes and a moderate bitterness.

UPDATED: JUN 10, 2013 On cask at The Congress, Longton. Pours amber, fruity aroma. Fruit, caramel and a hint of smoke. Cask is obviously better than bottle, it tastes nothing like lager as others have said it does. 2nd very good English pale ale of the week. Update 9/6/13, on cask at The Huntsman, Cheadle. Good stuff again. Still nothing like lager!

Nice story on the back label of my 500ml green bottle which was opened and shared with a mate on 15 Feb 2013 during a random beer tasting evening. The beer is really a lager style beer in looks and taste: fairly dry with a hop finish, some maltiness also about but hops rule the overall flavouring. I found it refreshing and pleasant enough, suited the large German Frikadellen and mild mustard we were eating at the time.

Tastes just like a larger to me. Some flavour of bitter hops that stays on the palate coffee a while.

Bottle from Sainsbury’s, Team Valley. Amber coloured with marzipan, caramel and floral hoppy flavours with a smooth citrus finish.

Bottled, 500ml (5.5%) from Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn, Norfolk. Gold to amber with white head. This was a light, fruity beer, sweetish malts, lightly roasted, some cereal. The hop is again fairly fruity sweet, floral and light. Overall a decent enough bottled beer benefiting from an interesting tale on the bottle.
