Not much to appreciate visually. Not much aroma. Great pour. Very crisp, clean taste and a nice finish.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 cfrancis (1355) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 3, 2011
Pours a clear golden yellow with a thinning white head. Aroma is light corriander and wheat. Taste is light mouth feel, corriander and light spice plays on the tongue with wheat and grain that fills in. A good start.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Lubiere (6979) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 1, 2011
A golden wheat ale with a thick white head, receeding. In aroma, chalky and fruity, with light fruity esters. In mouth, a smooth dryish malt with sweetish notes, chalky, just OK. Growler from brewery, tasted Dec. 18 2010.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Bov (7335) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - OCT 26, 2010
@Mondial de la Bière 2010, Strasbourg - clear golden-yellow colour with a poor head retention; a light aromatic hoppiness, tart and moderate malt body; sharp palate, slightly bitter and with corny and light aromatic hoppy notes - fresh and boring
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 blankboy (4437) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 21, 2010
Draught at Volo. Pours a clear gold with a large creamy white head. Mild but pleasant aroma is herbal, perfumy and lightly spicy along with light hops and yeast. Flavour, which is a touch watery but is also easy-drinkin’, of wheat, yeast and fruit and a bit of sugary sweetness. Average bodied. Interesting, and I enjoyed it, but I prefer the regular Lug Tread.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BytownJon (25) - Ontario, CANADA - OCT 8, 2010
Picked up a 4 pack of WTF at the Beau’s store front at the brewery. As noted, this is essentially Lugtread with a different yeast according to Beau’s. Slightly darker and more golden than Lugtread. Aroma is definitely bread/yeasty. Can’t really detect any other spices or flavours. Taste is strange, just off a bit. It’s Lugtread but has the wheat characteristics on the palate but just seems odd. Kinda like seeing your sister in bikini: You know what both are, but doesn’t seem right that they are together.
2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 MXD (295) - Gatineau/St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 4, 2010
UPDATED: FEB 19, 2011 This beer is actually Lugtread with Hefe Weizen’s yeast. WTF stands for WheaTFermented.
Pours golden, average foamy head with some good retention. Aroma is cereal (both wheat and barley malt -- there is wheat in the LT to begin wit), banana. Taste starts a bit like a lugtread, but finale is actually rather sour and more astringent than the ordinary lugtread. It has the yeast features of an Hefe, but is otherwise quite similar to the LT -- just way more sour. For those who wondered about what would give this kind of product, it’s really interesting. On the other hand, it’s not really the best thing to come out of this brewery -- quite far from it, actually.
EDIT : This one is hard to "classify", but if the Lug Tread is a Kolsch (which it is)... this one would be a Kolsch as well.
