Wild Oats Series #27. An unfiltered beer brewed with sea salt, coriander and a hint of subtle acidity post fermentation. Aromas of citrus, and slight tartness to taste leads into a curiously salty mouth-feel.

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2015 smells like lemon, lime and sea salt. Light golden unfiltered with a little carbination. 2 finger head. water, bad/bitter/typical beer taste sourish(lemonlime)? some sea salt taste. I don;t fully know what to think or say about this one. Something different that I am not fully sure on. Ends not 100% dry but a little dry with bitterness and a bit of that seems like lemon/lime sourness with a little sea salt. cheers.{From the Oktoberfest 2015 set}

Cloudy gold with and endless white cap. Nose DOES kind of remind me of smelling an air filter, with hints of wheat and lemon. Taste is an improvement, refreshing, lightly salty, lightly bitter, and very lightly sour, which is a disappointment for me. Wish this stuff was more tart. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a huge foamy white head and has a fairly clear golden appearance. Thick dirty lacing. Aromas are kind of malty but more wheaty with floral hops. Flavours of citrus and floral hops. Hints of oranges. A bit sour like notes. Sort of has a salty like finish that remains on the palate. Lively carbonation. Somewhat reminiscent of the Opa’s Gose they did, but with that one, we could add a little extra sea salt. I think this one has the right amount in the mix.

A decent eclectic mix of styles - malty in nose and flavor, hops subdued, some salt, smooth silky delivery, clean finish , satisfying but easy to drink

600ml bottle. Hazy amber with a thin ring of white foam. Flavors are bready cereals, wheat, lemon peel, salt, coriander with earthy and grainy notes. Not much acidity, salt is also dialed back. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, smooth texture, a bit heavy.

600ml bottle from the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario. Golden yellow in colour with a lingeing white head, light lacing. The aroma is of wheat, herbal, lemon citrus. The flavour is of lemons, light spice, light tartness. Finishes light, some bitterness.

Bottle from the 2015 Oktoberfest mixer pack. Pale cloudy amber with a modest lingering white head that leaves just a bit of lace. Nose of wheat, light lemon and salt. Light sweet honey with an equal tartness in the middle through to the end. There is a light spice throughout but he salt is unobtrusive and becomes most evident at the very end. Medium light slick mouth with slightly soft carbonation. Interesting but not a style I would go to regularly.

LCBO bottle. Cloudy pale straw with white head. Nose is mildly tart, grain and some citrus. Taste is crisp and refreshing, grassy with ever so faint tart and salt on the finish, so faint it could be my imagination. The beer is a nice quaffer but I want sour and salty for my gose dollar. This is a disappointing pretender, and the main reason I bought the expensive seasonal mix pack. I won’t be fooled again.

600ml bottle. Slightly hazy golden pour, big frothy white head. Very wheaty aroma, some grass, soft lemon rind, and subtle savouriness. Soft mouth feel, very low carb. Finish is light and lemony, with a good malted wheat finish, and some light salt. The savoury part of the beer is very turned down here.

Bottle from Oktoberfest 4 pack. The Gose style has been a bit of a sleeper hit this year. This is one of the more interesting ones. While the aroma is a bit like sniffing an air filter, the actual beer is a refreshing & interesting beer. On one hand, it has an enjoyable herbal & lemon body. On the other hand, there’s a curious tartness in the finish. The salt really becomes evident in the mouth between sips. I quite like it, but I’m sure people will dismiss it because it isn’t another session ipa.
