Wild Oats Series #27. An unfiltered beer brewed with sea salt, coriander and a hint of subtle acidity post fermentation. Aromas of citrus, and slight tartness to taste leads into a curiously salty mouth-feel.

My buddy made this beer for the oktoberfest and I went there especially for it. Unique style, salt water coriander beer. aroma is reminiscent of coriander. the low alcohol (4.6 %) makes this a light beer to drink, I put this as a beer I’d particularly enjoy during the summer.

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2013 Pours a hazy yellow-orange with a bit of white head. Smell is sea salt, lavender, and a bit of floral hops. Palate is on the lighter side of medium bodied with good carbonation. Taste is slightly sweet at first, then sour, but not too much, and a slightly sour/bitter/sweet aftertaste. Really good! All the good parts of soap and none of the bad.

New arrival at Pub Italia in the Abbey section. Pours a hazy golden colour with a frothy white head that has good retention and great lacing. Big cereal nose with hints of coriander. Medium-light bodied. Fruity malt taste with notes of honey and spices. Mango is found in the aftertaste with some grain lingering. Quite a good light beer that is refreshing and still tasty with all of those nice organic ingredients.

2012-10-08. Hazy golden body, nice beige head. 3+ Pleasant aroma has a tangy fruity quality that is sort of lemon meets gooseberry in nature. 7+ Flavour is pleasant, lightly bitter, sort of fruity, almost gooseberry like? Tangy quality to it that is presumably the salt/gose character but I am not sure I how I would describe it if I was tasting this blind. Mild pale malt comes out as it warms up. 7+ Average plus palate is pleasantly effervescent. As it warms up the aroma seemed to change significantly, gaining a strange burnt buttered popcorn like quality to it that was significantly less pleasing than it started out! Pretty nice overall, very quaffable. On tap at Brewmarket, Brick Works, Toronto

Pale straw pour. Slight haze. Very bright aroma of coriander and pale wheat malt. A faint kiss of lacto but even that is subtle. Clean smelling with a lot of citrus. Light palate with a bit of tartness. Fresh and fruity. Lightly tart on the finish. Nice.
