Inspired by the Beaver River (rivière Castor), which connects Ottawa to many communities to the East, this IPA is designed to appeal to Hop Heads. Taking the malt and yeast profile of a traditional British style India Pale Ale and adding an American-style citrusy punch, our Beaver River is both assertive and drinkable. Beaver River is brewed with local spring water and the ingredients are 100% certified organic.

Bottle shared by Jean-Michael, thanks! Pours a nice golden with a medium white head that leaves great lacing patterns. Nose is of tropical fruits, pine, some sugar and... wheat? It isn’t listed on the bottle but this is the impression I got. Taste is fruity and bitter, not overly sweet but certainly not dry. Some floral hops. Body is medium, carbonation too. Hops were just a touch harsh but I really enjoyed that one still.

Bottle 600ml. Pours amber with low beige head. Good lacing. Aroma is of fruits, tropical stuff, citrus. Taste is of tropical fruits, citrus, bitterness, soap, slight malty/caramel twist. Palate: Light-medium body. Soft carbonation. Overall: Just a tad too much caramel in there for my liking, but certainly not striaght-up unbalanced. Good.

Pours a light rust colour, with a thin white head. On the nose, from the bottle there is wet cereal, and malts. From the glass however it has distinct piney aroma, one expects from American West Coast IPAs. On the palate, more of the hoppy pine. Not as strong as some of the IPAs I have drunk, but a nice entry in Beau’s typically mild offerings.

600 ml bottle to pint (shared with the Mrs.; thanks mikem409). Looks solid; a transparent amberish orange with AMPLE foamy off-white head. Smells solid too; bitter hops and caramel malt. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. A solid English IPA.

Bottle from the LCBO. Pours a clear amber with a pillowy beige head that leaves a slight lace. Aroma is more caramel than hoppy. Taste is light and sweet with little evidence of hop bitterness. Creamy body with lively carbonation.

A middling IPA. The hops are stale and grassy with a dirty mouthfeel and an overly sweet flavor of caramel at the beginning. Picked up in Toronto in 2013.
