Inspired by the Beaver River (riviŤre Castor), which connects Ottawa to many communities to the East, this IPA is designed to appeal to Hop Heads. Taking the malt and yeast profile of a traditional British style India Pale Ale and adding an American-style citrusy punch, our Beaver River is both assertive and drinkable. Beaver River is brewed with local spring water and the ingredients are 100% certified organic.

Pours amber with a minimal white head. Slight citrus and caramel aroma with some grassy notes. The taste is more citrus and caramel. This is on the lighter side of medium-bodied with a decent bitter, grapefruit finish. A good, but not great IPA.

600mL bottle; bottled on Feb 22, 2012. Pours clear amber with a creamy, off white head. Good retention. Nose is earthy and malty. Hay, caramel, and toffee, with some grassy/piney hops and a candied sweetness. Taste-wise we have caramel malt with some fruityness, followed by some earthy notes and grapefruit. Good hop bitterness comes through near the end. Mouth-feel is fairly thin with light carbonation. Finish is dry with substantial bitterness, leaving burnt toast and grapefruit. Not amazing, but a solid and decent IPA.

LCBO bottle. Pours carbonated copper colour, huge creamy white head small meanderings of lacing spots. Lots of bubbling going on here, in the bottle too. Looks awesome. Smells rather malty, caramel. Tastes a little bitter and woody, thereís banana in there as well.

High malty smell with a little hops. A little character that gives it points over an average ipa but a little light on bitterness. On tap at volos

Bottle, 600ml from the Brewery. Clean citrus, herbal and very dry aroma reminding me of stainless steel. Nice clear amber orange robe, low carbonation with a light neck that sticks there. This IP hey? is bitter, very hoppy remind me of a dry british ESB. Has copper notes with a short finish. Overall great everyday beer for fans of bitters.

Canada: Pours a copper color with a white head. Aroma is weak and dominated mostly by malt. Taste is forgetable. The so-called citrus hops infusion barely does anything for it. The English malt profile is not particularly exciting either. The body is what it is. I was bored by this beer and drank it as quickly as possible to move onto my next beer. This beer is kind of mEh. Oh yeah and itís organice, but I donít really think I care.

Pours a nice amber with a fairly good head. I don't get a lot in the way of aroma, bread, malt and some mild caramel. Taste is mildly bitter, with a soft maltiness. Overall, just okay. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

600mL bottle from the Lykbow. Pours a nice golden copper with a medium rocky head. Aroma is decent, bursting with hoppy citrus characters that play off the malts really well. Flavour has a lot of bittering hops upfront, making way for delicious bready-biscuit caramalts, followed by citrusy flavour hops. Finishes clean with lingering bitterness and malty sweetness. Body is medium, with somewhat tamed carbonation. Vaguely reminiscent of Sgt. Majorís IPA. Vaguely. This is a very solid beer, I would drink this regularly if it were more than just a seasonal. Another good ones from Beauís.

from bottle. dark copper colour with carbonated head that as expected fizzes and pops before vanishing. Big nose of oranges, lemons and peaches. Thick and chewy hoppy bitterness but flavour dissipates a bit too prematurely, perhaps itís lingers longer after a few mouthfuls. Hops are bold and brash but lack complexity. feels like itís all about that big hop bomb but thereís still room for some subtlty. Has potential to be a stalwart why only a seasonal?

A light copper colour with a foamy head. Not much of an aroma. The carbonation is a good compliment to the caramel malt flavours. Could use some more hops, to punch up the flavour, but not too shabby.
