Bottle 600ml at Cest What?
Aroma: tad too fruity , lacking dry metallic feel, vineous with hints of coffee . Soft finish.
Apperance: dark ruby with touch of brown. Off white lighter top.
Taste/Palate etc. medium bodied with thinner side. Some sugary sweetness with roast, Thinner finish . Tad oily malt in character , felt a bit like bock with dark roasted malts. Good but not as Schwartz.

Bottle into pint glass. Pours black with a creamy tan head. Aroma is sweet malt with some roast malt notes and a little fruitiness. Taste is nice roast and a little fruitiness. Feels kind of creamy not that crisp. More like an ale than a lager. Pretty good beer.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20

As a wise man once said: "do or do not there is no try!" First experience with this style of beer and it's a real winner. Dark, roasty, toasty. This beer is strong with flavour. Hands down winner on my Christmas Eve beer list.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle - Toast and roasted malts. Jet brown with a rich light brown head. Lots of toast and cocoa and a bitter finish. The finish is long and lingering with burnt toast notes. I was on board till the end, where unfortunately it takes a wrong turn.

Bottle, shared with Grippitis and Mike. Stouty appearance, nearly black with a finely bubbled light brown head. Roasty black malts and chocolate, hints of licorice, dark brown bread. Actually very good!
