The best Greener Future I’ve had yet. Pours dark garnet with a small off white ring. Aroma is sweet bourbon and caramel malts. Taste is still dominated with bourbon sweetness as well as it’s still a bit boozy. But the caramel malt backing from the dunkel complements the bourbon well. I’d still like to see the bourbon more subtle though.

One of the better from the signature series. Bourbon is well integrated and made for a spicy mix with the basic base ingredients. Good drinkability.

[4360-20120329] Bottle. Lightly roasted oaked raspberries aroma. Clear, amber red body with a quick bubbly head. More oaked wood grain in the flavour with a pleasant base. Medium body. Good. (7/3/7/3/14) 3.4

2012-03-29. Dark brown with a small tan head. 3+ Big bourbony aroma, sweet, vanilla notes. Fairly one dimensional but pleasantly so. 7+ Flavour is similar, sweet bourbon, vanilla accents up front, very mild yeasty wheat character manages to come through but it is ultimately bourbon centric. The alcohol is fairly restrained in the flavour. Smooth average to light bodied palate. Simple, the bourbon dominates the overall impression, but it is surprisingly enjoyable and I like it more in this case than I have in some of their other bourbon aged beers. Not entirely sure what the difference is, but I was pleasantly surprised. Beaulo Event, Volo, Toronto

Aromastrong wheat like front, hint of alcohol, cask treatment noticeable.7-
Appearance hazed dark amber with lighter top. Rocky white head.3+
Flavor and Palate : frontal Bourbon feel. Thinner walls on mid body. Wheat with banana elements. Some spice and alcohol. Creamy butter like finish.

[bottle] American oak, cranberries, bubblegum, banana aroma. Hazy orangish, dark brown under a lasting off-white cover. Tart, oaky, dunkelbock flavour: estery bubblegum ahead of banana and faint clove followed by a subtle bitterness. American oaky vanilla transcends the whole tasting experience and finishes in a nice counterpoint to the esters. Full body, medium but soft carbonation, oaky, slightly sour finish.

Bottle - 660ml. Hazy brown body with a fair off-white foamy head. Nice, complex malty/hoppy aroma with woody and caramel hints. Taste carries strong woody notes. Bourbon flavors are also niticeable. Ends with a robust, warming bittersweet finish. Enjoyable.

Bomber courtesy the newly minted Ottawa tasting group :) Light mahogany with a very light tan head. Mild vanilla and oak, raisin, banana, malt is muted, some caramel. Low carbonation, moderate body, very buttery / silky, bit bitter but a nice blend of sweetness and bitterness. Have to admit didn’t know what to expect from this but it was pretty interesting - barrel aging is not overdone and considering the bottle was very fresh it was quite delicious.
