4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 mojorisn (26) - - DEC 15, 2012
I thought that based on the low ABV, this beer would be my least favourite among this best of 2012 four pack. Not so much. Still to be determined the final rank of this one within it’s peers, but for now holy sht who cares? Everything it should be with a fantastic name like ’Farm Table’. Classic and refreshing, A meaty pilsner mixed with a dense swamp of belgian yeastiness, yet comes of like bitter floral water; an air of lightness to it. Love it! Now excuse me while I use it to wash down a homemade lamb and IPA redwine stew.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Gorbalev (2823) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 25, 2012
Beaus best of 2012 4 pack. Medium yellow, good sized head. Light yeasty and fruit aroma. Taste is very tasty and very quenching - a little yeasty and really refreshing crisp fruit. Lightly hopped. Just a perfect session beer, good one Beaus.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 DerWeg (1393) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 16, 2012
Wow! Almost closer to a Saison idea than Beau’s own Saison. The sharp grassy dryness and snap, the pepper, bit of lemon taste - very good Saison characteristics here with emphasis on herbal dryness and earthiness, Maybe the clovey phenolics and the fresh tangerine and lemon and grassy citrus aromas do inch it towards a Belgian Pale like La Chouffe or LC Houblon - although how rustic must a ’modern’ Saison be. Very tasty, with creamy vanilla notes, subtle pale fruit character. Nice full-dry palate and attractive orange-gold hazy look beautifully rounds out a hybrid-styled Ontario beer I would like to enjoy many times.

On tap at Bar Hop. Cloudy light amber, slight head. A bit cold for aroma. Balanced, nice carbonation, slightkyle soapy, light biscuity malts. Balanced hops.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 cfrancis (1766) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 30, 2013
Pours a cloudy dark yellow with a moderate pillowy white top. Aroma is big belgian yeast and bready malts. Taste is a great belgian dry yeast profile with bready German malt distinction and a small spice from the rye.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 robinvboyer (2576) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 23, 2012
Dark, hazy copper pour, with a huge rocky white head. Solid citrus aroma, some pine also. Grainy malts, a little sweetness. Soft mouth feel, soft carb. Hope delivery throughout and delivery a good dose of bitterness in the finish with a nice pithy citrus exclamation. Great session ale.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 GregClow (2736) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 3, 2013
Bottle from the brewery. Murky orange-golden body with an exceptionally large and creamy white head. Aroma hold bready yeast, mellow sweet tropical fruit, and some herbaceous hops. Flavour mostly follows - yeast, pineapple, cut grass - but there’s also a nice hit of citrus peel in the finish. Fuller in body and flavour than is typical of a 4.5% beer. Well done!
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 shaynsawchuk (165) - Mississauga, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 16, 2012
600 mL bottle. Pours a hazy cider color with a nicely lacing white head. Nice aroma profile, sour yeast with buttery biscuit notes, orange, spices and a little wood. Taste is mild, a touch of sweetness, a little hop and a great yeasty finish. Dry and medium carbonation. Painfully drinkable, love the fact that this beer has so much flavor and so little alcohol. Aches for rustic pate and pickles.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Metalchopz (1747) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 17, 2012
Came in a 4-pack with three other different ones, as their best of 2012 (voted by the fans). Batch no. 2910. Wow ! This is quite interesting. A mix between a Belgian and a Pale ale. Pours a cloudy golden-amber colour with a foamy off-white head that laces the glass with soapy chunks. A beautiful blend of aromas, between the mild grassy hop and the Belgian yeast. The taste is pretty similar, with the hop not overpowering, but creating a nice mild dryness. Notes of peaches and other fruits, with the cereal grains (rye) showing in the finish and hints of the yeast. I really enjoyed this one, just like their Koru. Belgian style, with more hop and great for a session ale.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Boutip (3971) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 13, 2012
Bottle: Poured a slightly hazy dirty hay color ale with a relatively large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of slightly sweet rustic malt with light fruity ester and some light floral malt notes. Taste is also dominated by floral notes with some sweet rustic malt notes and some fruity floral hops profile. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Not your typical saison but well enjoyable nonetheless.
