Fiche technique Style: Altbier Format: 600 ml Taux d?alcool: 4,7%

Bottle. Pours a nutty red/brown with an off white head. Aroma is biscuity maltiness. Light to medium body, medium carbonation. Some lemon, orange, caramel, light wood bitterness. OK.

Bottle from the LCBO. Clear copper pour with a generous tan head. Biscuit, grass and light caramel on the nose. Sweet toffee start with a balancing hop bitterness following and some nuttiness and spice. Medium mouth with average carbonation with the bitterness lingering to dry out the finish.

brown pour, maybe just a little red tinge, with a medium tan head. Malty aroma, woody, earthy, a bit musky. Not my favorite nose. Taste is malty again, brown sugar, some astringency, bit of hops. Taste is better than the smell.

I like Beau's but I hate this beer. Horrid malts. Bad taste. Worse aftertaste.

Pours deck stain brown with a plush one finger cap. An true old school brew. A brisk sipper with carbonation ramped up so high it’d clear an early summer sore throat. I like it even though there’s a slight vegetal undertone that makes me a little nervous.

On tap at Irene’s, Ottawa. Pours amber with thick white head. Biscuity aroma with strong flavour. A keeper.

600ml bottle. Pours a clear copper colour with a creamy off-white head. A great looking pint. Aromas of light caramel, straw, light mineral notes, and an unfortunate scent that I can only describe as wet dog. As for taste, there is a surprising red wine / grape juice flavour that minimizes as it breathes, light dusty straw, light butter, mild skunk, and heavy mineral notes up front that lead into broader malt notes, a light floral note, and above average mineral heavy hopping in the finish. The butter is a definite distraction, and is regrettably present from beginning to end. Beau’s is taking some interesting chances, but their success to clunker ratio is making me question every purchase of their product.

600ml bottle. Clear copper with a foamy off-white head. Flavors are caramel, vanilla, bread, toasted malts, earth and nuts with herbal and fruity notes. Medium body, moderate carbonation, smooth texture.
