2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Unassuming aromas, very light caramel ,rock candy, liquorice. Copper color, moderately clear with average head. Malty flavors with biscuit accents.
Hoppy finish. No particular flavors are sticking out beside regular malts and hops. Light tasting beer, low in alcohol. Goog malt / hop balance tough. That’ s what I would call a light, quench thirsting, summer beer.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
600 mL bottle. Pours a rich reddish amber, a tight off white head that dissipates quickly to a film. Malty aromas of caramel, butterscotch, allspice, raisin and rum, a little hop bite too. The cold aging gives a good refreshing quality that you notice right away, sweet but thin and easy to drink, no long lasting mouth feel. Has a nutty quality to it, flavor profile quite similar to the aroma. A worthy session beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Not a great beer. Has a harsh bitter alcohol after taste despite being a low alcohol 4.7 percent beer. Would not buy again. Very disappointing brew

3.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
In a 600mL bottle from the LCBO
AROMA: faint breadiness.
APPEARANCE: clear dark copper with an off white foamy head that quickly disappears, some lacing mostly small, tight bubbles interspersed with larger ones.
TASTE: tart grapefruity bitterness.
PALATE: creamy medium body, lively carbonation, finishes with a sharp bitter bite.
OVERALL: Would definitely buy this again. Enjoyably bitter interpretation of a classic style. Good session beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From my dear parents who picked up a bottle in Canada: Pours a reddish color with a white head. Aroma is grain and malt. Taste is slightly hopped, but mostly malty. Good balance through and through that would make for a good session ale. I thought it was plenty alright, although it was not really that interesting of an ale.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
In a 600mL bottle from the LCBO. Pours a clear maroon with a bit of off-white head that dissipates quickly. Smell is a bit strange, it’s got some hops mixed with some funk, but somehow not like a saison at all, might be the undercurrent of sweetness. Palate is pretty good, a bit eavy on the tongue but gets cleaned up nicely with the fine carbonation. Taste is good but a bit strange. Definitely hoppy, but then also a really strong sweetness, though the hoppy bitterness comes back in the aftertaste. Kind of like a sweeter red ale. I like it, but it’s a bit strange. I might come back to this again.
