1.86 litre jug from the brewery. let me start off by saying that i rated this beer according to its style, and purpose. a refreshing, good tasting beer that lets you pound back as many as you want. dark copper to brown in colour, with a large foamy head that stays. lots of bubbles shooting up the Kolsch glass. a beautiful sight. not very aromatic, but bread and cereals are the main notes in the nose. taste is caramel, and cereals. like a liquid Muslix. crisp, clean and refreshing. perhaps the "cleanest" tasting beer i’ve ever had. i make sure i stock up on this beer everytime it comes out.

Mondial de la bière 2015 - Ambrée, avec un col de mousse mince, de couleur crème. Nez épicé, sucré, de caramel et malté. Goût de caramel, de grains grillés et de houblons en final. C’est plutôt mince en bouche.

600ml bottle from the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario. Deep amber in colour with a thin lasting off-white head, good lacing. The aroma is of caramel malts, nutty, some fruit. The flavour is of caramel sweetness, malty, nutty, light hops. Finishes long, sweet.

Pours dark copper with a thick white head which leaves behind moderate lacing. Aromas of biscuits, cream and herbs, all blending together. Creamy mouthfeel. Tastes are of shortbread cookies, herbal hops, and caramel sweetness. Overall a nice blending of sweet and bitter, although definitely leaning towards the former more than the latter.

600ml bottle from Ottawa LCBO.
Appearance : Clear shiny amber with medium foamy with a ligh brown color head. Short head retention. Minimal lacing.
Aroma : Floral and slightly piny hops with caramel. Caramel is light and elegant with light toffee and overcooked sugar notes. Some dried red fruits as well. Light raisins. Really nice malt profile and nice hops as well.
Taste : Overcooked caramel on the arrival with floral hops. Piny notes on the finish with light astringency that might be coming from both the hops and the overcooked caramel notes.
Palate : Moderate carbonation. Mouthfeel could be improved a bit. Carbonation is a bit oo lively which makes the palate thinner and the beer less drinkable.
Overall : Really nice beer overall. Great summer drink. I like the caramel profile. Nicely drinkable. If the mouthfeel would have been more fluffy and smooth it would have been pretty amazing.

Appearance: Pours a clear dark cooper colour with three fingers of tan head that dissipates quickly leaving almost no lacing. I really love the colour. Aroma: Sweet malt, barley, cereal. Flavours: Sweet malt, cereal, biscuit, caramel and a bit of toffee. Mouthfeel: Very smooth with minimal carbonation. Overall: A great Altbier with tons of malt and lots of sweetness. I really liked this beer when I first tried it in 2013 and I like it just as much now.

Bottle at my Uncle’s place. It pours a clear amber with a thick fluffy lightly beige head. Fruity, yoghurt & caramel malts - interesting. Light bodied verging on thin. Bitter dark malts with fruity plum, raisins & figs & a sharp finish. Once it warmed up it became nuttier, maltier and less fruity plus that yoghurt quality vanished boosting it’s rating but after the nice patio saison this was disappointing.
