2012-12-31. Crisp dark orangey amber body, nice foamy beige head that fades leavig a nice beige lace on the glas. 3+ Really interesting aroma and flavour profile. Mint-orange melante in the aroma, mild fruit. 7+ Flavour has similar orange-mint melange, hints of juniper (maybe?) giving way to a fruity sweetish middle with just enough balancing bitterness. 8+ Very smooth average plus bodied palate. Did not expect this flavour combination to work when it was described but it manages to find a near perfect balance between the mint and orange. I quite enjoyed the fine line it walked. Tasty stuff. Not sure if I’d love it as much a second time but it apparently tickled me today! Bottle at Volo, Toronto, shared by Beaus_stuntman

650ml bottle shared at Burger Bar with garthicus and blankboy. Bottle December 21st, 2011. Hazy fairly deep orange-amber with a small but lasting frothy mottled tan/beige head. Pungent aroma - sharp, really sinus-clearing - I thought maybe camphor or a cedar chest, but it was pointed out that it was LIME - whatever; not bad, but strange. Tasted like orange blossom honey - sweet, with a hint of cocoa and tangerine zest - really, really pleasant (8-). Mild carbonation, light body, a nice quick floral/honey finish - refreshing.

Bottle [650ml] shared at Burger Bar w/ garthicus & HogTownHarry -- c/o HogTownHarry. Feb. 4. Pours a cloudy orange-amber with small foamy off-white head. Aroma is sugary sweet, fruity and kind of odd, but not in a bad way (must be the peppermint), quite spicy too. Flavour of spices, herbs and malt along with some sugary sweetness and honey. Average to medium bodied. Pretty good, it’s not something I’d want a lot of but it’s nice to share.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 mabel (5043) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 26, 2012
[4222-20111231] 600mL bottle. Peppermint orange leafy hop grains aroma smells a little like wet hair in a salon. Clear, amber orange body with a quick foamy off-white head. Grainy peppermint orange malt flavour. Medium body. Odd but good. (7/3/7-/3/13) 3.3

Bottle shared with several folks at Wvrst at the Beau’s Mates With Dates release party on Feb 17 2012. Orangey-reddish-amber colour with a bit of haze and a small white head. Aroma - holy crap, that’s a lot of peppermint! No complaints from me, I love peppermint. Also some orange peel, a bit of honey, and perhaps a suggestion of juniper berry if I really look for it. The mint isn’t quite as aggressive in the flavour, sitting back to let the orange and honey notes come to the forefront, but still providing a nice backnote. The juniper gives the finish a slight medicinal tang that works nicely.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 probstblueribbon (2379) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 23, 2012
600 ml bottle at The Cheshire Cat ($10...not bad!), served cold in a Beau’s tumbler. 21JA12.
App.: Murky dirty amber, small white head.
Aroma: Intense spicy note, peppery, a lot of juniper and a hint of peppermint, sweet caramel, that rough-and-tumble Beau’s note, some esters, kinda odd.
Palate: Medium body, relaxed eff.
Flav.: Really estery, grain and raw cereals, less of the spicing, caramel, nice rich malts, a little citrus, more bubble gummy esters, interesting; sweet with limited bitterness and a refreshing minty note, the finish is Beau’s rugged with a little caramel, juniper, esters.
Doesn’t taste anything like a goat. Interesting stuff.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 garthicus (2336) - Dublin, IRELAND - FEB 4, 2012
Bottle 1946 appearance: red orange with a small white head. Aroma: hmm like smelling nice spearmint gum but from someone else’s breath, lime, orange blossom honey, floral hops. Flavour: Wow, so unusual, oranges & mango & mint & coriander & hops & honey... Not much carbonation and a slightly sticky finish, oddly lovely. Spicy finish.
