Koru Belgian Pale Ale boasts interesting spicy, peppery yeast notes, with tropical fruit inflections from New Zealand Nelson-Sauvin and Rakau hops. Complex and tasty, with a dry finish.

Bottle [600ml]. Pours a cloudy copper with an average size long-lasting frothy white head. Some lacing on the glass. Aroma of Belgian yeast, herbs, grassy hops, citrus fruit and wheat. Nice hoppy flavour along with citrus, wheat, Belgian yeast, spices and herbs. Decent bitter finish. Average to medium bodied. Enjoyable and easy to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours light cloudy straw good head and lacing. Notes of yeast, fruit cereal. Tastes are light sweet with a very light bitterness. Medium body with lively carbonation.

600 ml bottle. Pours a mostly clear golden with a resilient white head. Smell is yeast, floral hops. Taste is very sweet, vanilla cake, lemon. For a Belgian-style, I must say it seems a bit lackluster on the buds...Finish is lots of bitterness, lemon, grapefruit, earthy, white wine. Very sharp bitterness, very solid. Great finish, strong, but not overwhelming. Foamy mouthfeel, light bodied. Average carbonation. I donít know about it being a "Belgian-style", but it definitely fit as a Pale Ale.

Great instant yeast character, nice full head and bright, light gold appearance. Light body is only minor complaint - itís too light. But great flavours and balance make it very enjoyable.

On tap at Atomic Rooster. Somewhat hazy pale orange with a nice off white head. This is an interesting one - odd / unbalanced fruity hops, some wheat and yeast, coriander, lemon zest, grass. Moderate to mild body and moderate carbonation, slightly bitter, odd mouth bitterness on the finish that becomes slightly dry, some almost dead yeast on the end as well.

Thanks to PaleAleRider for this one (purchased at the brewery). Pours a cloudy golden colour with a beautiful creamy warm cap that is very long lasting. At first pour, scent of wine (on the yeasty-wine side), but then, the Belgian yeast comes out with some organic malts. Medium-bodied with a nicely balanced taste of grains, hops and yeast, with citrus notes. The hop is quite pleasant in the mouth giving a light dryness with a bit of bitterness. The Belgian hints of a pale ale lingers nicely. A refreshing, easy-going, Belgian Pale Ale that I could drink many of these. Recommended for session and wish this one was available year-round.

A golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, nice fruity malt with grassy hops, terpentine, cloves, coriander and oranges. In mouth, a nice smooth malt with candy sugar, coriander, and cloves, oily yet dry, alcohol warmth, nice. Cask at Beauís Oktoberfest Sept 29 2012.

600 ml bottle from the brewery via Lubiere, served almost cold in a tulip glass.

App.: Very cloudy deep golden with a fair, rocky white froth. Aroma: Beauís rustic, a touch bright/tangy, some fairly aggressive peppery, spicy, green peppercorn notes, a bit of light maltiness, a touch yeasty, hints of esters and alcohol. Palate: Medium+ body, full, somewhat creamy effervescence with a few prickly bubbles. Flav.: Beauís rustic graininess, fairly present grassy, peppery hops, a bit of yeast, faint Belgian yeast characteristics, a hint of alcohol; dry with surprisingly good bitterness and a somewhat peppery/grassy, slightly rustic finish.

The Beauís ďhouseĒ aromas and flavours donít always appeal to me. Beyond that, I donít mind this beer. Good attempt.

Hazy pour. The aroma is spicy and quite tropical. An interesting sort of kiwi/citrus hoppiness along with some marmalade and white pepper. Very hoppy bitterness. Nice fairly assertive bitterness but it works. Decent balance but fairly light-bodied. Nice really.

Pours a cloudy golden colour and an impressive lace. Smells of belgian yeast thatís characteristic of being fruity accompanied by a spicy aroma maybe some citrus. The flavour is yeasty with some pepper but surprisingly no citrus. Solid belgian pale with a nice touch of hop bitterness on the finish.
