Pours a cloudy golden colour and an impressive lace. Smells of belgian yeast that’s characteristic of being fruity accompanied by a spicy aroma maybe some citrus. The flavour is yeasty with some pepper but surprisingly no citrus. Solid belgian pale with a nice touch of hop bitterness on the finish.

Thanks to cfrancis for this beer. Pours a hazy orangish copper with a nice white head and good lace. Smells of yeast and spices with floral notes. Taste is yeast and spices up front with a nice solid lingering hop bitterness on the end and a nice dry finish.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, at home, drank in Chalice.
Pours straw. Slightly hazy. Close to no head, but white lace.
Aroma is mainly typical belgian yeast, with a little hop kick.
Taste is clean, and sortof hoppy. I say sortof, because the citrusy tones that were dominant in the aroma are nowhere to be found, and are replaced by somewhat non-characteristic hopping.
Good beer that could have been much better if the Nelson Sauvin was a little more upfront.

Draught at Volo, Toronto
Cloudy light amber color. The aroma is lightly spicy. Smooth mouthfeel; good spicy malt flavor, strong bitterness, but not much hop luck.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Golden color with a lasting head, notes of spice, tropical fruit and hops.
On the palate loads of citrus, spice and a noticeable hop backbone.
An interesting mix of clean citrusy hops and classical Belgian characteristics.

660 ml bottle purchased at the brewery on September 29, 2012. Honey blonde, medium head. Aroma spicy hops, notes of malt pale. Hoppy taste very dry, a little juice fruit, quite bitter. Not bad at all!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
2012-10-08. Bright but hazy orange, nice off-white head and lace. Aroma is a bit sharp, yeasty hop character up front. Sweet citrus comes out as a second wave, lightly grassy. Flavour is similar with grassy hops and mild citrus touches. Fairly bitter throughout, mild yeast character is less prominent than in the aroma. 7+ Average plus bodied palate. Lingering herbal bitterness in the finish. On tap at Brewmarket, Brick Works, Toronto

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours golden yellow with a big frothy white head. Aroma is yeast, grass/biscuit malts. Taste has a big yeast mouth feel with peppery aftertaste. Seems like a big belgian yeast bomb without much else going on .

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Beau’s Oktoberfest (Vankleek Hill, ON). Hazy golden body with a lasting white foamy/creamy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with flowery, honeyish, herbal, and yeasty hints. Its sharp hoppy taste carries malty, citrusy, and herbal notes. Ends with a good bitter/herbal finish. Well done.
