Crisp pale yellow body with a good white head that fades (3+). Grassy hops have floral lightly "cheesy" notes of noble hops. (6+) Light bitterness throughout, mild pale malt support. More of the floral hop notes. (6+) Average palate. Quafffable, and technically well executed but on the mild side, and the hops are not to my personal taste. 6+/3+/6+/3/13 - 3.2
<P>October 2006. Draft @ The Black Tomato in Ottawa. Bright yellow body, small white head. Muted hops in the aroma, is mild and muted to start with and further muted by the cold temperature. Comes out slightly more as it warms. Light fruity notes in the flavour, pleasant mild noble hop flavour and bitterness. Average palateis slightly fuller than some. Pleasant-ish, strongly reminds me of some other beer I can’t place. Not to my tastes but sort of drinkable. 5/3/6/3/11 - 2.8 sinkhole (179), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Aromas of grain, yeast, and hops. Initial flavour of sweet grains, gave way to a moderate bitter finish. A nice beer to try, but not something I would look for.

Pale copper orange with a small white head. Sharp aroma of hay and grain. Taste is fresh, slightly sweet pilsner malt and a touch of noble hops. Slight bitterness in the finish. Medium body. Not quite as crisp as it could be. But a nice attempt at a style not often (ever?) found in Ontario. AWS9 (234), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 7, 2009 Draught from Pub Italia. Beer is clear goldem with a medium foamy head with average retention that leaves some lacing on the glass. Faint aroma of malt and herbal hops but I drank it in a restaurant at lunch time so there was many invasive smells. I might have to try it again to have a better take on this aspect of the beer.
Body is medium with a somewhat oily mouthfeel and modest carbonation.. Taste is crispy malt, herbal and floral hops, and a hint of citrus with a clean finish and a nicely balanced malty/bitter aftertaste.
It is by nothing exceptionnal, but a verty good everyday beer. Boutip (2408), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 19, 2008 Bottle: Poured a deep clear golden color Kölsch with a big foamy head with average retention and no lacing. Aroma of unrefined grain and weird dry ester is not overly pleasant. Taste is a mix between rich medium sweet grains with again some dry ester. Full body with good carbonation is pleasant. I have to admit that this is not a style that I am overly knowledgeable about or that I appreciated a whole lot but I thought this was acceptable. Rastacouere (5565), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 7, 2008 Objectively speaking:
Clean and refreshing ale despite the fact that we drank it at a rather high temperature.
I like:
Fun german grassy, herbal hops. Pleasant grainy, cerealic, hay-like malts. Well-assembled and clean.
I dislike:
Lacking the classic Kolsch tall head and vigorous foam. Not as crisp as it could be. Certainly nothing to write home here.
