@ BEAULO , bottle 750ml
Aroma herbal, date fruit, slightly medicinal dry notes.
Appearance hazed dark amber with medium top. Rocky sparse lace. 3+
Flavor and Palate : As in aroma , character felt bit flat. Dark hints , dry mid with thinner walls. Thin sugary hints on top end. Rather forgettable.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jerc (5580) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 23, 2012
2012-03-10. Very dark brown large foamy brown head fades fast. Sweet aroma, sugary, fruity character, like raisins or dates, presumably the latter. Flavour is similar, sweet sugary malt base. Fruity character. Average plus bodied palate. Bit boozier than preferred, it might have been better served slightly colder. Pretty decent. Bottle shared by Tuqueboy

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MXD (295) - Gatineau/St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 8, 2012
Pours hazy brown with off-white head. Aroma is ... interesting, to say the least -- three-part figs, alcohol and dark sugar. Taste is interesting as well : the dates are much more obvious, but so is the cane sugar, to a point where the beer has a strong feel of rhum, without being liquorous at all. Finish is rather long, but smooth, and the hops, while doing their job, are certainly not at the front. All in all -- an interesting brew that I wouldn’t necessarily be looking to try again, and that has absolutely nothing to do with the price, which is extremely high but can probably be explained by the price of the raw ingredients.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 LBarouf (27) - Quebec, CANADA - MAR 1, 2012
In bottle, from the brewery.
Has a nice nutty brown ale type of robe, hinting on the richness to follow. Has an aroma of light alcohol hiding behind dates (initially I though of figs) and a floral bouquet or something fresh and intriguing.
Low carbonation makes the neck not stay for long. Does look tasty though with it’s off-white caramel looking neck.
Ends on a lightly bitter short finish.
Nice experiment, I like the results. though not as tasty as the wild oats greener future ones, still worth it.
