500ml bottle, 2012 Best of Beau’s pack. Lemon/banana colour, unfiltered, some floaties, very large off white head. Light citrus, heavy coriander, some Belgian yeast in the aroma. Less coriander in the taste. Light and refreshing body. Lots of carbo. Overall, reminds be a lot of a Belgian wit.

Not bad at all. Pours clear straw with an initial foamy head that fades to just a light ring. No lacing. Nose is yeasty and peppery. Aromas of light fruit, grassy hops and a peppery finish that is maybe a touch too much. Tastes are light sweet and medium bitterness. Body is light enough with very lively carbonation. Solid summer beer.

neuromatt (1097) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 23, 2013
600 mL bottle from the LCBO, served in a snifter. Pours hazy golden with a small, rocky white head that fades to a thin cover and leaves a small amount of fine lace. On the nose, there are subtle notes of wheat, pepper, citrus, flowers and grass. The flavour is dry and lightly bitter with an herbal, floral, citric quality. Flavours of coriander and lemon come through, along with yeast and soft spice. A slight bitterness emerges in the finish, which is long and peppery dry. On the palate, it is medium in body with a milky texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a decent example, refreshing yet reasonably complex. 2012-12-19

Boutip (4637) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 5, 2013
Bottle: Poured a hazy beige color ale with a rather large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of rustic malt with light lingering sweet notes. Taste is a mix between some rustic malt with light residual sugar and some light dry wheat notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Well brewed though fell a bit short on the complexity expected for this style.

Best of Beaus 2012 4 pack. Cloudy yellow-orange, huge head. Pleasant yet mild yeast aroma. Taste is a refreshing yeasty dry wheat taste - refreshing. I have had others that offered more flavour, and this time of year does not do this one justice, but as is, it is a well made saison. Alcohol present as well.

Metalchopz (2198) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 24, 2012
Best of Beau’s 4-pack, 6.3% ABV. Pours a cloudy golden colour with a fizzy off-white head, average retention and low lacing. Spicy aromas, notes of orange and honey, caramel malts. Belgian Ale yeast taste with a nice blend between the citrus and the grain. A decent refreshing summer patio brew. Too bad today is Christmas. :P

Only reason i gave appearance low rating is because liquid had cloudy and slimy appearance. It made beer appear very unappealing. However, head was clear white and while not overly big lasted quite a while. It tasted quite refreshing and light considering amount of alcohol it contains. My bottle also says it has 6.3% not 5.9%. It was not well carbonated and as i mentioned before with appearance texture was also sticky and oily. However it had a very nice soft finish to it.

hazy golden pour, small white head. Low to medium funk as it warms. yeasty notes, some citrus, and fresh cut grass. Big wheat flavor with a sharp grassy finish, and a touch of yeasty funk in the end.

600 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a hazy dull straw yellow colour with lasting white head. Aroma is quite yeasty with wheat malt and citrus. Taste is pleasantly funky yeast, wheat, lemon rind with some spicy character that lingers a bit in the dry finish. Quite drinkable.
