COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Belgian ale featuring intense tropical fruit notes from generous late-addition hopping and spicy character derived from fermentation with Belgian ale yeast. The bitterness is apparent but balanced by the fruity hops and spicy notes provided by the yeast. History & Style A Pro-Am collaboration with Joey Kilbride, Best of Show Winner of the 2012 Homebrewing Competition at the National Capital Craft Beer Week in Ottawa. Tasting Notes A complex array of aromas present themselves in this beer; tropical and citrus fruit notes (orange, unripe peach and star fruit) from the hops along with some piney inflections. Also present in the bouquet and on the palate are spicy, peppery notes and some clove intonations. The finish is clean, balanced and dry with some lingering hop character. [5493-20130617] Tap. Mild fruity yeast grain aroma. Slightly hazy, red orange body with a long-lasting creamy white head. Grainy bitter flavour has a touch of grassy hops. Medium body is bitter. Tasty, a little rough around the edges. (6/3+/7/4/14) 3.4

Like all of Beau’s beers a nice malt taste with a very good water base. For me even though it is a Belgian and not American IPA it is still a bit too mild and not hoppy enough. A very pleasant and well done beer but not unique or distinguished.

2014/05/06 - Pours a hazy, dark copper colour, with a large, foamy, off white head that lingers. Aroma is oranges, peach, mild pine and pepper. Taste follows nose; sweet orange, peach, fruit and floral notes followed by bitter pine hops and spicy/peppery notes. Aftertaste is peppery and both bitter and tart. Mouthfeel is medium with lively, biting carbonation and a refreshing, drying finish. Enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance - pours an opaque light orange colour with an absolutely thick, off-white head. Nose - at first I was getting some oats and maltiness, but that soon gives way to a light citrusy tone. Not a particularly strong smelling beer. You’ll have to inhale deeply to get anything. Palate - getting some lemon and lime, and definitely some orange peel bitterness on the swallow. Overall - it’s not strong tasting and certainly not strong smelling. A decent beer.

Beau’s Rudolohus VI Wow what a smell. Immediately upon opening the room was filled with fruit scents. Lots of citrus. Really beautiful looking pour. Lots of foamy head over a slightly hazy copper. Tastes as good as it smells. Its like a mix of Pale ALe and Belgian Tripple. Not overy bitter. A touch flowery. Mostly sweet fruits. Not strong though like a fruit beer or shandy. The kind of fruit tastes yo get from hops. Really good brew.
