COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Belgian ale featuring intense tropical fruit notes from generous late-addition hopping and spicy character derived from fermentation with Belgian ale yeast. The bitterness is apparent but balanced by the fruity hops and spicy notes provided by the yeast. History & Style A Pro-Am collaboration with Joey Kilbride, Best of Show Winner of the 2012 Homebrewing Competition at the National Capital Craft Beer Week in Ottawa. Tasting Notes A complex array of aromas present themselves in this beer; tropical and citrus fruit notes (orange, unripe peach and star fruit) from the hops along with some piney inflections. Also present in the bouquet and on the palate are spicy, peppery notes and some clove intonations. The finish is clean, balanced and dry with some lingering hop character. Draught at Thirsty & Miserable . Pours a hazy dark copper-gold with an average size lasting frothy off-white head. A bit of lacing on the glass. Aroma of Belgian yeast, fruit and herbs along with light hops and bready malt. Flavour of Belgian yeast, a good amount of hops (more then the aroma suggest), lots of fruit, herbs & spices and a dry finish that is, surprisingly, quite bitter. Some alcohol there but fairly well hidden. Medium bodied. Enjoyable and on style. Well done. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a nice pillow white head. Aroma is citrus hop, yeast and straw. Taste starts as a blast of citrus hop bitterness with a nice dry of the yeast on the palate. Afterwards it seems to go a little funky in the end with a small chewy in the body. Really nice, good job Joey!

Pours orange with some light head covering. Quite yeasty with nice fruity notes (maybe some peach) and a bit of a piney background. Medium bitterness with a nice, dry finish. Nice one.
