COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Belgian ale featuring intense tropical fruit notes from generous late-addition hopping and spicy character derived from fermentation with Belgian ale yeast. The bitterness is apparent but balanced by the fruity hops and spicy notes provided by the yeast. History & Style A Pro-Am collaboration with Joey Kilbride, Best of Show Winner of the 2012 Homebrewing Competition at the National Capital Craft Beer Week in Ottawa. Tasting Notes A complex array of aromas present themselves in this beer; tropical and citrus fruit notes (orange, unripe peach and star fruit) from the hops along with some piney inflections. Also present in the bouquet and on the palate are spicy, peppery notes and some clove intonations. The finish is clean, balanced and dry with some lingering hop character. Beau’s Rudolohus VI Wow what a smell. Immediately upon opening the room was filled with fruit scents. Lots of citrus. Really beautiful looking pour. Lots of foamy head over a slightly hazy copper. Tastes as good as it smells. Its like a mix of Pale ALe and Belgian Tripple. Not overy bitter. A touch flowery. Mostly sweet fruits. Not strong though like a fruit beer or shandy. The kind of fruit tastes yo get from hops. Really good brew.

A nice Belgian IPA. Nice sweetness, citrus flavour, but well balanced, nothing over powering but enjoyable like I kept wanting more. Picked up a 4 pack of Beaus mix pack at LCBO, it is pricey but taste wise so far so good.

Bière orangée avec mousse couleur pêche. Aômes complexes alliant les malts caramel, houblons, levure fruités :mangues, pêches . Saveur fruité , amertume herbacé pas assez agressive !!!

Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a nice pillow white head. Aroma is citrus hop, yeast and straw. Taste starts as a blast of citrus hop bitterness with a nice dry of the yeast on the palate. Afterwards it seems to go a little funky in the end with a small chewy in the body. Really nice, good job Joey!

Sweet, but well balanced, just like I like it. A very good Belgian ale. I liked it a lot.

Version VI from lcbo sampler pours murky orange with a frothy cap pops a few fingers before a quick fade. Aces on the flavour here: peeled citrus, spices & chunky hops. Has the Beau’s signature full-throated earthy bitterness, with the added fruit (peaches & something else i cant identify). May be my favourite of beer in their stable.

Peaches and Mandarin oranges feature strongly along with icing sugar and herbal and earthy notes. Hazy tan body is topped by a generous and lasting white head that leaves some lace. Fruit flavours are up front. Really nice yeast character with herbal and spicy notes. Bitterness is not all that pronounced and sweetness lingers a bit. Medium body is quite dry with really nice, expansive, soft-bubbled carbonation. Snifter. Just above fridge temperature and allowed to warm. Bottle purchased at the LCBO in December 2013.

On draught at Bar Hop. Hazy deep amber with a large fluffy lasting almost white head. Interesting aroma - like a mild Dubbel with a hint of Weizen and a lot of grassy bitterness. Taste - wow - resin and grass and way back there is light toasty sweet yeasty malt and some alcohol. Average body and carbonation, astringent and dry, with an incredibly long coating grapefruit pith bitter finish and linger - starts "Belgian" finishes like a malty DIPA. Powerful stuff!

On tap at Bar Hop. Clear dark gold with a frothy white head. High, delicate carbonation. Aroma is rich with Belgian yeast and the Pilsner/Vienna hops. Peppery with grapefruit and orange rind, hints or grass, pine, alcohol, and I think I even got some strawberry notes! Medium, slightly sticky body. Typically Belgian yeasty maltiness throughout, with a refreshing German kick and an added "IPA" dry bitter grapefruit finish. ABV is prevalent, but a balanced, complex brew. Really nice take on this style.
