Bottle brought back from Canada from a co-worker. Thanks Justin. Shared at a tasting. Pours a deep brown to black with a one-finger beige head of foam. Roasted malt, toasted sorghum, pecans on the nose. Quite roasty on the palate with some sweetness and dark fruit as well. Average carbonation and mouthfeel. Slightly dry finish with some sweetness. Not bad.

Big bottle in a taster glass. Pours near black with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate and roasted malts, some lactose, pale malts, and some dough with hints of bitterness. Flavor the same, but everything is sort of light. Average texture. A solid beer but not the most flavorful.

0.6 bottle. Clear, dark brown color with a reddish tinge and a small, tanned head. Aroma of roasted, dark malts, licorice, little bit of chocolate, lactose, a tad sour. Taste is sweetish, chocolaty, hints of coffee, appears rich. Medium to full body, creamy texture, and soft carbonation. Finish is more fruity, stronger chocolate, presents a generally more definite character which somehow saves the beer. Overall not bad, mostly on account of its aftertaste.

Where and How : LCBO, bottle 650 ml
Aroma: pleasant smooth chocolate notes, clean straightforward approach.
Look: larger, tanned top. Creamy cap with fine lace. Darker brown bottom.
Body/Palate: medium bodied, average, longer finish. Average carbonation.
Taste: blend of chocolate with mild smoky roast pit like hints. Quiet approachable. Mild tartness with dark malt feel. Good depth. I like it.

Expérience à recommencer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

600ml bottle from Halles St-Jean. Aroma: coffee, rosted malt, chocolate, vanilla. App: dark brown leaning on dark, light small beige head head. Taste and palate: medium body, creamy medium high carbonation, medium sweetness, tiny bitter finish. Overall: smooth but not enough for me for a milk stout.

New Beer Distributors, NYC bottle ($8): Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is light chocolate, roasted malts, and a definite hint of hops. Not that that sweet in the taste. Veritable hoppy bitterness in the finish. A bit sticky in the mouth. Pretty easy to drink. Good enough beer.

Good. All aromas, tastes and palate can be described by using soft, mellow or light, but with this beer that is not a bad thing.
