Bottle from LCBO. Bottled a couple months ago. Pours brown with small but well-retaining light tan head. The aroma is pleasant, roasted malts and coffee with a sweet edge that is neither milky nor sugary. A bit syrupy perhaps, and burnt caramel. Tastes sweetish with black rye bread crust sourishness, a bit of earthy dry bitterness in the finish. Moderate carbonation and medium body. Pretty nice, I quite like it.

Pours an almost opaque brown topped by a creamy tanned head showing good retention and lacing. Nose is sweet and earthy. Faint roasted malts and instant coffee with burnt notes and table syrup. Same goes for the taste, with a noteable mineral element that’s not really enjoyable. Interesting creamy texture and very dry finish with the earthy hops and burnt toasts notes lingering. An enjoyable stout, but there are better ones out there. Cheers!

Bouteille 600ml. Couleur brune très foncée presque noire laissant passer la lumière, faible mousse moka. Arôme de malt torréfié, cendré, café. Goût de malt torréfié, café, légère acidité, grains de café. Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen-faible.

Nothing special about this, a bit light, but very drinkable and enjoyable. Is a sweet one at 1st. I’d get it again.

Draught. The body is black, very thick beige foam. The aroma is butternut scotch, very sweet. The taste is a bit smoky, finish very malty. Great milk stout.

Bottle brought back from Canada from a co-worker. Thanks Justin. Shared at a tasting. Pours a deep brown to black with a one-finger beige head of foam. Roasted malt, toasted sorghum, pecans on the nose. Quite roasty on the palate with some sweetness and dark fruit as well. Average carbonation and mouthfeel. Slightly dry finish with some sweetness. Not bad.

Big bottle in a taster glass. Pours near black with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate and roasted malts, some lactose, pale malts, and some dough with hints of bitterness. Flavor the same, but everything is sort of light. Average texture. A solid beer but not the most flavorful.

0.6 bottle. Clear, dark brown color with a reddish tinge and a small, tanned head. Aroma of roasted, dark malts, licorice, little bit of chocolate, lactose, a tad sour. Taste is sweetish, chocolaty, hints of coffee, appears rich. Medium to full body, creamy texture, and soft carbonation. Finish is more fruity, stronger chocolate, presents a generally more definite character which somehow saves the beer. Overall not bad, mostly on account of its aftertaste.
