2014/01/16 - Pours an opaque dark brown cola colour with a two-finger foamy khaki head. Aroma of milk chocolate, mild herbal hops and roasted coffee. Taste follows nose with a mildly sweet, slightly bitter cocoa aftertaste. Some metallic aftertaste as well. Mouthfeel is slightly oily with medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The large bottle pours very dark brown with a rapidly dissipating grey head. The aroma is a bit mild and disappointing. It’s nowhere near as rich and creamy as a good milk stout should be, and the body was thinner than hoped for as well. There’s a bit of smokiness in the finish. I’ve been more entertained by Tom Green than I am by this beer.

At first sip one experiences more smokiness than chocolate, despite the description leading one to believe otherwise. The milk in milk stout is obvious but does not lead to the expected full, creamy texture one would hope for. Chocolate, smoke and coffee linger on the palate, especially the smokiness. Overall a smooth, great drinking beer. But would best be described as a smoke (Rauch) beer rather than a chocolate milk stout. Still a pleasure to drink! --- Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone by sIGHTnOISE

600ml bottle. Pours almost black with a caramel coloured head. A quiet nose. Roasty malts, caramel, and some light smoke. The taste is caramel/toffee, coffee notes, a light buttery note, cocoa, and light smoke. Just alright.

Bottle: Poured a black color ale with a large foamy head with medium retention and light lacing. Aroma of light lactose and dry roasted malt is pleasant enough. Taste is also a good mix between some lactose notes with some light dry roasted malt with subtle black chocolate notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Nothing to write home about but still better than your average offering from Beau’s.

This stout poured a deep black colour with a minimal head. Scents include coffee, smoke, roasted malt and a little caramel. First swig was medium bodied with flavours of roasted malts and smoke. Finish was a little sweet with lingering flavours of smoke and malt.

Fairly dark brew with a tan head that lasts a whiles enough and leafs some lacing as well. She be a beer that has this aroma of something grainy, like espresso grounds or dried chocolate of sorts with a nice little fruity delicacy tucked in there. On the palate it doesn’t prove to heavy or light in body it just kinda sits there with it’s average weight. the finish is fast and leaves me thinking of my first love, sugar. There is a banana smoothie and chocolate ice cream kinda character to it. It is an average beer with an above average face at its logo.

Aroma: Very discreet notes of coffee and chocolate, fading rapidly and leaving space for some sour smell. Appearance: Black with ruby glints, quite transparent. Average thickness head, average density, long lasting. Foam doesn’t stick and leaves no lacing. Taste: Attack shows smoke and ash notes with a dry finish. We can feel a little bit of caramel trying to develop but is rapidly rapped by smoke and ash accents that are taking a lot of space for a milk stout. Chocolate and coffee are not showing up much. Mouth feel is a little thin but acceptable. Sparkling is average and balance remains mostly with roasting and water. Deception

Cask at corner bar Orleans. Nose is muted. Notes of milk chocolate, maybe some vanilla, some burnt bitterness. Some kind of small hint of sour in the background. Taste is medium sweet med/light bitter. Body is pretty silky.
