Bottle from the brewery. Quite hazy yellow-gold with some small floaties and a large head of tight white bubbles. Aroma is quite peppery and yeasty with complementary notes of wheat, orange peel and mango. Remarkably effervescent body that stays crisp and lively until the end of the glass. Flavour follows on the aroma pretty closely - spicy yeast dominates, with mango and citrus supporting, and a nice peppery finish. Not quite as out there as I expected a collab of these two breweries to be, but still pretty nice stuff.

Bottle at Volo. Hazy golden pour, big white head. Rght off the bat, there is a big mango aroma, mixed with some grassy hops, and a light pepperiness. The carb is bang on, and the body is perfect. The finish is of a medium bitterness with more solid mango, and some pleasant tartness. The pepperiness fades but is still there, its a little thin in the end but still super drinkable.

Brown bottle, 600 ml, bottle 1221, savoured July 20 2012; eye: yellowish, hazy, no effervescence, minuscule ring of off-white head; nose: tropical fruits, light pepper, light hops; mouth: tropical fruits, pepper, hops, finale in hops with light presence of acridness, good carbonation, lightly bitter, slightly sweet, a bit thin; overall: ordinary FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 600 ml, bouteille 1221, savourée le 20 juillet 2012; œil : jaunâtre, trouble, pas d’effervescence, minuscule anneau de mousse blanc cassé; nez : fruits tropicaux, léger poivre, léger houblon; bouche : fruits tropicaux, poivre, houblon, finale en houblon avec légère présence d’âcreté, corps moyen, bonne carbonatation, légèrement amère, très légèrement sucrée, un peu mince; en résumé : ordinaire

Pint @ Atomic Rooster Cloudy orange-amber, no head. Nice, clean, lightly fruity, some biscuit malt, a hint of pepper. Only a slightly hint of Beau’s roughness. Pleasant mango fruitiness with a definite peppery note and nice bitterness, still clean, quite tasty. Dry and refreshing.

On tap at Wvrst. Appearance: Cloudy bright yellow, decent white head. Aroma: Quite yeasty, sharp, lots of citrus, mango. Flavour: Sharp, very bitter, lots of yeast and a good amount of slightly underripe mango and grass. Long lemon and grass finish, quite dry.

Sample at "La Soirée des Brasseur" beer fest in Shawinigan on August 12, 2012. Blonde straw, small head. Light aroma of mango and sweet herbs. Mango taste very light, much more herbs and wheat, fruity aftertaste. It’s very mild!

Appearance : Slightly hazy pale yellow with huge foamy head.
Aroma : Nice hay and herbal hops with light malts. Light saison yeast with light rustic notes. Light mangos as well. Quite appealing nose.
Taste : Light malt with light mangos. Herbal hops with some hay. Very light yeast character. Finish quite dry with light bitterness, light herbal hops and light fruity notes. Fairly thin overall.
Overall : Interesting, very refreshing and very dry but a bit shy on the flavor. It seems the mango fermented out almost entirely. A bit too dry and too thin for me. The Saison yeast is also a bit shy which is sad. Still quite interesting.

Bottle, pours a nice bright yellow, a nice head, aroma is fruity and flavour is fruity as well, I didnt get a huge amount of mangos in the flavour, just a nice light finish of mango, the body was fairly yeasty and bread tasting, overall it was decent

Pours a cloudy light straw with a small white mist that quickly disappears. Aroma is a light peppery with straw. Mild fruit coming through as well. Taste is again small pepper and grain. I’m having a hard time picking up the mango but I do pick up some light tropical fruit, like a tropical fruit drink but very subtle. Nice saison.
