3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 mabel (4405) - Toronto, - OCT 12, 2011
[3975-20110922] Bottle. Roasted coffee ground-infused charcoal-covered multigrain toast aroma. Black body with a long-lasting creamy tan head. Roasted bark malt flavour has a long burnt aftertaste and very mild vinegar notes throughout. Full body. Borderline stout? I enjoy that it’s not heavy; it’s fairly drinkable and interesting. (8/3+/7/4/15) 3.7

2011-09-23. Black body with a small tan head and lace. 4+ Flavour is sweet malt core with a good amount of dry roasty bitterness. 7+ Dry roasty aroma, dusty malt. 7+ Average plus bodied palate. Not super complex, and a bit more dry and btiter than my own preferences but this is a pretty solid porter. Bottle at Premium Beer Experience, Toronto Beer Week
