Wild Oats Series No. 13 Orange hued with a tall creamy head, Weiss O’ Lantern is a white beer brewed with pumpkin. Pumpkin citrus fruit and spice flavours shine through it’s full, wheat body. The finish is lively, zippy and darn refreshing.

600ml bottle from the LCBO. clear golden with a small white head. ginger and wheat malt nose. medium bodied, nicely spiced though not very pumpkin beer like. does not drink like a hefe at all, much more like a saison. great beer if you can get over that its nothing like it says it will be.

600 ml bottle. Pours a foggy yellow-white with a short-lasting white head. Smell is spices and pumpkin. Taste is very spicy (ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon), orange, pumpkin. Quite sweet, very subtle. Touch of orange and citrus in the finish. Some lingering orange-citrus-spice post-finish. Medium bodied. An excellent pumpkin ale.

Pours semi-cloudy and light gold. Aroma is like a belgian wheat beer with the spice and citrus aroma - very little pumpkin there. The taste has some strong banana notes hidden at the end but again, very little pumpkin detectable here - more like a hybrid wit.

Bottle. Pours hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma of spice, some pumpkin notes. Overall it’s like a cross between a hefe and a pumpkin beer. Interesting, not bad, but it’s pretty interesting.

Pours a clear amber orange with a small white head. Aroma is faint pumpkin and wheat. Taste is more wheat than pumpkin. Very light pumpkin but overall a solid wheat beer. At Beau’s Oktoberfest.

Bouteille 660 ml.

[4161-20111125] Tap. Fruity gourd yeast aroma is more herbal bathroom cleaner than yeast. Hazy, light brown orange body with a long-lasting big foamy white head. More bathroom cleaner malt and fruity gourd flavour has a touch of light nutmeg spice and something like chamomile. Medium body. Interesting but not wonderful. (6/3/6~/3/13) 3.1

2011-11-25. Lightly hazy golden body, nice white head and great lace. 3+=4 Spicy aroma, almost chamomile like? Similar spicy quality to the flavour. Hints at lemon. Sort of perfumey sweetness, odd finish. Avg palate suits it. I did not get much pumpkin out of it. Not my cup of tea, and probably suffers a bit from not being what I expected as well. On tap at Amsterdam Movember Event as Jack O’Layton Weiss, Toronto
