LCBO bottle. Pours a light yellow with small white bubbly head. Spicy and yeasty nose. Beau signature yeast and mouthfeel, understated pumpkin flavour and a mild spicy finish. Not bad drinkability. More weiss than pumpkin, a changeup for fans of the style.

2011-11-25. Lightly hazy golden body, nice white head and great lace. 3+=4 Spicy aroma, almost chamomile like? Similar spicy quality to the flavour. Hints at lemon. Sort of perfumey sweetness, odd finish. Avg palate suits it. I did not get much pumpkin out of it. Not my cup of tea, and probably suffers a bit from not being what I expected as well. On tap at Amsterdam Movember Event as Jack O’Layton Weiss, Toronto

UPDATED: NOV 1, 2012 October 31, 2012 - on draught at the Bar Hop Black & Orange Fest. Hazy light gold with a decent white fizzy/creamy white head. Aroma is mostly light hefeweiss and spice, just a hint of pumpkin pie character. Taste is even less pumpkin, more lemon an satsuma peel than anything. Average body, solid carbonation, fruity and spicy in the finish. Really pleasant!
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 blankboy (5199) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 24, 2012
Bottle [600ml]. Pours a hazy, very bubbly, copper-gold with an average size lasting frothy white head. Sweet aroma of yeast, spices, herbs, grain, citrus, light sugar, light pumpkin and a hint of hops. Flavour of wheat, spices (ginger mainly along with more), yeast and fruit (citrus and banana). Average bodied. Not much pumpkin in this but the taste is pleasant and it’s easy to drink.

[4161-20111125] Tap. Fruity gourd yeast aroma is more herbal bathroom cleaner than yeast. Hazy, light brown orange body with a long-lasting big foamy white head. More bathroom cleaner malt and fruity gourd flavour has a touch of light nutmeg spice and something like chamomile. Medium body. Interesting but not wonderful. (6/3/6~/3/13) 3.1

Bottle, old rating from November 2012. Orange pour, huge white head. Citrusy aroma with hint of pumpkin spice. Really nice taste - light foamy wheat body, citrus and yeast - and pumpkin! Exactly as advertised and it works! Dry finish. I really liked this one.

600 ml bottle from the brewery via Lubiere (merci!), served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. 10DE12.
App.: Slightly hazy deep golden with a decent rocky white froth.
Aroma: Fairly assertive spicing – clove and ginger, a little allspice and cinnamon, some toasty biscuit malts, vanilla or something “creamy”, coriander??, a little citrus, lemongrass, hints of Belgian esters, a little different, still a spiced beer.
Palate: Medium body, fairly full, rounded effervescence.
Flav.: Slightly subdued spiciness, wheat, peppery, very little malt character, even less yeast character, a touch of biscuit/cracker, mainly spicy; dry with minimal bitterness and a spicy, ginger snap, cookie, graham cracker (power of suggestion from label) finish.
A little different, still not for me.
