(bottle - 20 oz) Copper pour with a ton of foam. Fizzed over when I opened the bottle. Definite coffee note in the aroma with a bit of hops coming up at the end. Flavor is like you took a very strong iced coffee and dry hopped it. Really different but I liked it.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Fruit punch and coffee aroma. Pleasant fruity amber flavour, with noticeable coffee flavour that doesn’t clash like I’d expect it to. Good brew.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
New Beer Distributors, NYC 20 ounce bottle: Pours slightly hazy amber brown with a big off-white head. Aroma is sugary malts foremost, hints of coffee, some ambiguous fruitiness. and bread. Taste is more interesting and more complex than the aroma. It is a tad sweet at the front, then hits you with what is clearly the coffee grounds, but also it imparts a sort of herbal taste here. The aftertaste is very mild, but almost like dark chocolate. This is the best Beau’s beer I’ve had, and I say that because I really didn’t like the first two I drank.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
600 ml bottle from the brewery on November 28, 2014. Dark orange, small head. Mild coffee aroma, green herb notes. Taste like sweet herb coffee, nice dry hoppy notes, good bitterness. A coffee beer that is not a porter or a stout and it works!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle (600 ml). Split 2-ways. Shared by Minderbinder, thanks!
Appearance: Hazy amber with a medium easy to revive beige head and little lacing.
Aroma: Coffee is strong and dominant with light green peppers presence and light fruitiness.
Taste: Coffee takes most of the place here too along light green peppers, toasted malts and light fruitiness, Light coffee bitterness.
Palate: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Lingering coffee finish.
Overall: Unidimensional and unbalanced. I guess it’s hard to achieve a much better result by adding coffee to an amber ale (which isn’t the most expressive beer at first), but if it’s the best that can be done, don’t bother brewing it again. Not easy to drink, nor to enjoy.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
650 ml bottle from the 2014 Best of Beau’s pack picked up at the LCBO.
Appearance: Pours a cloudy brown colour with lots of dense tan head with great retention. Leaves a fair bit of lacing.
Malt, biscuit, coffee, cereal.
Strong dark coffee, charcoal, grains and cereal.
Average mouthfeel with moderate carbonation.
Overall: This one is a pretty solid offering from Beau’s. It has lots of good aromas and some really strong interesting coffee and cereal flavours. The mouthfeel is decent and not too thin. In my opinion, this is the best bottle from the 2014 Best of Beau’s pack and one of their best beers from 2014.
