Normal pour, subpar head, ok lacing. The aroma was too strong on a coffee type slant, as was the flavor initially, strong bitter coffee in a brown ale with only bitter nuts detectable underneath. As it warmed, this thing improved, but it wasn’t smooth and was only average in the style.

Some milky chocolate, yeastyness, sweet and toasty malt flavors, it’s filtered to a clear brown with amber hues, medium effervescence and some creaminess and light resins.
