Amber tinged in color with a decent head. Malty, caramel, with a little bit of hops in the flavors. Medium body. Smell has hops, caramel, and malts.

GABF 2008. Clear amber orange, spicy hop and caramel aroma. Medium-bodied caramel malt with a fair load of spicey bitter hops (Centennial?). Nice.

draft at the brewpub - Pours clear amber with a thin head and a mild caramel aroma. The flavor is of caramel malt with a mild hops bite. It has a light body and a gently bitter finish that lingers for a bit.

Draft: Pours deep copper with a foamy, off-white head. Faint aroma of crystal malt with a nice hop bouquet. Hop forward but adequately balanced with malty sweetness. Finishes a bit malt-heavy.

Draft at the brewery. A bit more golden in color than most "reds". Minimal head. Mild caramel and hops on the nose. Simple, thin malty flavor with a clean, bitter-sweet finish. A decent session beer, if not overwhelming.
