On draft at the brewpub, waitstaff insisted it was 10+%, but they served it in a full 16ozer, and I highly doubt it. Nevertheless, this was an imperial red, and it delivered with more hops than I thought BS had in them. Nice job! The pour was full red-amber, nice white pillowy head, great almost continuous lacing and retention. The aroma was big caramel and grainy malts, deep and rich, strong firm citrus-pine hops (from the Pac-NW?). The flavor followed, bitter balanced was quite nice, clean and semi-dry finish. Maybe the best beer I’ve ever had from BS.
